dresses of polyester Swiss dot,
designed with ruffled necklines
and hemlines and long gathered
sleeves. All girls carried
nosegays of yellow carnations
and daisies.
The best man was Ronald
McKague of Walkerton, brother
of the groom. Ushers were Tom
Lee of London and Michael
MacDonald of Wingham, both
friends of the groom, and Doug
Leitch, Wingham, cousin of the

At an afternoon ceremony June
2 in Wroxeter United Church,
Debra Lynne Montgomery be-
came the bride of William
(Dean) Raven.
The bride is the daughter of
Bruce and Lorraine Montgomery
of Wroxeter; the groom's mother
is Mrs. William Raven of
Listowel.
Rev. Wesley B. Ball of Gorrie
United Church officiated at the
ceremony. Organist was Mrs.
Gordon Kaster of Wroxeter. The
soloist, Gerald Simpson of
Gowanstown, sang The. Wedding
Song.
The bride was gowned in a full -
,length empire style dress of silk
wedding
Gowanstown.
Attendants wore similarly
styled gowns of pink chiffon
fashioned with fitted bodices and
half -tier skirt panels. Their bou-
quets were composed of pink and
white carnations.
Mike Johnson of Owen Sound
was best man, and ushers were
Terry Seiler of Listowel, Dave
Dubrick of Listowel and Don
Montgomery of Wroxeter.
At the reception at Listowel
Goll and Country Club, the
bride's mother, assisted by .the
mother of the groom, received
the guests. Mrs. Montgomery
chose a floor length gown of
peach crepe with,la floral chiffon
cape. Her corsage was a pale
yellow orchid. Mrs. Raven wore a
floor -length gown of pale blue
quiana with full sleeves. Her cor-
sage was composed of baby
mums.
For their trip to Florida, the
bride wore a dress of azure blue
dotted swiss with a full skirt, fit-
ted bodice and matching waist -
length jacket with bracelet
sleeves.

their home in Listowel.
Out-of-town guests at the
wedding came from Sundridge,
Elma, Seaforth, Listowel, Owen
Sound, Hanover and other
communities.

and she wore a. corsage of white

For travelling, the bride wore a
beige two-piece suit. After a
honeymoon to Niagara Falls, the
couple will reside at RR 2,
Wingham.

Douglas E. Baird of RR 2,
Wingham was one of 18
graduates of the Advanced
Electricians program at Fan-
shawe College, London.
Graduation ceremonies were
held June 22 at the college's main
campus, Oxford Street, London.

and David Allan Hicks of
Wingham exchanged marriage
vows and were pronounced
husband and wife by Rev.
Douglas Kaufman. The
ceremony was solemnized in
Lucknow United Church at four
o'clock on Saturday, June 9.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Elliott of
Lucknow. Parents of the groom
are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hicks,
Shelburne.
Mrs. Anne Pritchard of
Lucknow was organist. She also
accompanied Steven Pritchard
as he sang "The Bells of St.
Mary's" prior to the ceremony
and "Evergreen" during the
signing of the register.
Given in marriage by her
father and mother, the bride
chose a floor -length gown styled
with French lace bodice with
standup collar, bishop sleeves
with wide lace cuffs and a pleated

bride's cousin, Ruth Hicks and
Lorraine Hicks of Shelburne,
sisters of the groom. All at-
tendants wore similar gowns of
peach angelnet polyester,
fashioned with cap sleeves,
blouson bodices and straight
skirts. The maid of honor carried
a white lace fan with peach and
yellow Sweetheart roses, white
bridal wreath, ivy and roseleaf.
The bridesmaids' fans were
surrounded by peach Sweetheart
roses, yellow bridal wreath, ivy
and roseleaf.
Jennifer MacKinnon of RR 3,
Holyrood performed the duties of
flower girl. Her floor -length gown
of white polyester cotton was
styled with a lace -edged ruffle
around the hemline and a wide
waistline sash tied at the side.
She carried a floral ball of yellow
Sweetheart roses, white bridal
wreath, white ribbon and ivy.
Don Jamieson of Shelburne
was best man. The bride's
brother, Don Elliott of Grande
Prairie, Alberta, was head usher
and guests were also ushered by
Clair McCannell and Rob Reid,
both of Shelburne. Jason Stanley
of Lucknow was bearer of the two
wedding rings exchanged by the
couple as they repeated their
vows.
Following the ceremony,
guests from Grande Prairie,
Alberta, Barrie, Orangeville,
Shelburne and the Lucknow and
Wingham areas attended a
reception held at the Lucknow
Community Centre. The bride's
mother wore a gown of seaspray
green polyester sheer with A-line
skirt, pleated bodice and pleated
long sleeves. She wore a white
orchid corsage. The groom's
mother chose yellow polyester
sheer with scoop neckline, three-
quarter sleeves, blouson bodice
and A-line skirt. A gardenia
corsage completed her ensemble.
For honeymooning at Hart
Lodge, Minden, in the Haliburton
Region, the bride wore an ivory
polyester sheer two-piece dress
with a pleated skirt. Her ac-
cessories were black. They will
reside at RR 2, Lucknow.
The bride is a graduate of F. E.
Madill Secondary School and is
employed at Gemini Jewellers.
MARRIAGE VOWS were exchanged by Karen Whitby and
Peter Braine at St. Paul's Anglican Church on Saturday,
June 9. Rev. J. T. M. Swan officiated. Parents of the bt�e
and groom are Mr. and Mrs. Ted Whitby and Mr. and Mrs.
Jaus Robertson, all of Wingham. The couple will reside In
Wingham.
