T. Walsh passes suddenly Passed away suddenly at his residence. RR 4. Brussels, on Thursdav, June 14, James Thomas Walsh. He was in his 78th year Mr Walsh was born on the farm where he died, Lot 42, Concession 6. East Wawanosh Township. He attended elementary school at SS No. 13, East Wawanosh, and farmed on the home place all his adult life. He was predeceased by his parents, Joshua Walsh and Margaret Bell. Mr. Walsh married the former Jennie Muriel Wightman of Belgrave on June 24, 1936, at Fingal. She survives, as well as two daughters, Marlene of Sarnia and Mrs. Duncan (Eleanor) Campbell of Kinloss. There are two grandchildren, Kent and Jill Campbell of Kinloss; and one sister, Mrs. George (Mabel) Jordan, Lucknow. He was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. John (Olive) Johnston, and one brother, Gordon Walsh. The late James Thomas Walsh rested at the Tasker Funeral Home, Blyth, until Saturday, June 16, when service was conducted at two o'clock by Rev. John Roberts of the Belgrave United Church. Interment followed in Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave. Pallbearers were neighbors Clare VanCamp and Don Procter, RR 4, Brussels, Allan Dunbar, RR 1, Belgrave, and Fred Meier Jr., RR 4, Brussels, and nephews Ross Wightman, Fergus, and Murray McDowell, Cookstown. Floral tributes donated in memory of Mr. Walsh were carried to the graveside by nephews Charles Black of Mississauga and Clifton Walsh, RR 4, Brussels, and a neighbor, A resident of Morris Township, who spent his entire lifetime on the farm settled by his great grandfather in 1854, Robert Dustin Golley of RR 4, Wingham, passed away Friday, June 22, at the Wingham and District Hospital. He was in his 93rd year and death followed a brief illness. Mr. Golley was a son of the late James Golley and Martha Cassels and was born in Morris on December 14, 1886. He was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Wingham. He married the former ida Maude Abram at St. Andrew's Presbyterian manse on November 25, 1914, and she predeceased him in 1973. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Wilson (Dorothy) Thornton, Bluevale, and Mrs. Gary (Grace) Leesong Stittsville; three sons, Clarence, Jim and Glenn, all of Morris Township. There are 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Ernie (Mary) Churchill, for- merly of Mitchell. • The late Mr. Golley rested at the Currie -Walker Funeral Home, Wingham, where Rev. J. T. M. Swan conducted funeral service Monday at two o'clock. Interment followed in Wingham Cemetery. Pallbearers were six grand- sons, Barry Golley, David Golley, DeWayne Golley, Jeff Thornton, Tim Leeson and Sean Leeson. Three of his grand , children also carried floral tributes, Dean Golley, Lyanne Leeson and Debra Golley. People attending the funeral from a distance were from Toronto, Scarborough, Kit- chener, Windsor, Essex, O2 Oldecastle, Ottawa and Lansing, Michigan. Members of the McWhinney family were bereaved with the passing on Monday of last week of their mother, Mrs. Hazel Edna McWhinney. She died June 18 at the home of her daughter in West Wawanosh Township at the age of 83 years. Mrs. McWhinney was the former Hazel Edna Carr and was born April 27, 1896, in Wingham, a daughter of the late William and Eliza (Johnston) Carr. Her husband, D. Lloyd McWhinney, predeceased her February 20, 1970. Left to mourn her passing are three daughters, Mrs. Glen (Norma) Robinson of Parksville, British Columbia, Mrs. Albert (Lois) Neville, Vienna, and Mrs. Gordon (Irene) Sproul, West Wawanosh ; two sons, Harold and William, both of Ashfield Township; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. There are two brothers and one sister surviving, Harry Carr, Edgar Carr and Miss Iva Carr, all of West Wawanosh Township. She was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Carman (Irene) Hayden. The late Mrs. McWhinney rested at the McCallum Funeral Home, Goderich, where service was conducted Wednesday, June 20, at two o'clock by Rev. William Muhshaw of Lucknow Presbyterian Church where deceased was a member. In- terment followed in Dungannon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Pen- tland, Ross Henry, Howard Johnston, Hugh McWhinney, Carman Pollock and Elmer Black.
