This will be remembered as the
year the senior football team
arose again. Next year a rebuilt
bionic team will attempt to dupli-
cate former glories. The best
news in cross country was Janet
Wood winning an individual title
at Huron -Perth. The senior girls'
basketball team under the coach-
ing of Mrs. Lisle went to the semi-
finals before losing out to Listo-
wel by a bare six points. In boys'
volleyball the Jr. boys reached
the playoffs after leading the
Huron league.
In the winter term all boys'
basketball teams finished out of
the playoffs. The senior girls'
volleyball team advanced to
Huron -Perth before losing out.
The most successful team in.the
school had to be the cross country
ski team. The girls' team won
Huron -Perth. The boys' team
won the team race at Huron -
Perth, with Jerry Bremner
coming in first. The girls won
WOSSA and went on to OFSAA
where Janet Wood placed 19th!
The other big news of the winter
was the winning of the Huron -
Perth championship by the girls,
skipped by Donna Ballagh!
The highlight of the spring was
the high standard of soccer dis-
played under the apt tutelage of
Mills and Mali. The seniors were
in every game right until the final
4un. The juniors, playing
superbly, made it to the semi-
finals - losing out to Central
Huron 1-0. Well done boys!
in girls' gymnastics Shelley
Letteau led the way with a first
place finish in both vaulting and
uneven bars. In boys' gymnastics
individual titles went to Jim and
Greg Laidlaw and to Kevin
Wamsley. Except for a bad in-
jury to Kevin's foot the boys
would have taken the champion-
ship.
The track and field team is on
its way back. The team placed
fifth in Huron -Perth, beating St.
Marys for the first time in his-
tory. Janet Wood, Shane Purdon,
Suzanne Helphenstein, Tom
Remington all won Huron -Perth
championships, Janet Wood won
the Sr. girls title. Janet al com-
peted at WOSSA, OFS re-
gional and at all -Ontario.
Wait until next year! _

on the range for summer
This will be remembered as the
year the senior football team
arose again. Next year a rebuilt
bionic team will attempt to dupli-
cate former glories. The best
news in cross country was Janet
Wood winning an individual title
at Huron -Perth. The senior girls'
basketball team under the coach-
ing of Mrs. Lisle went to the semi-
finals before losing out to Listo-
wel by a bare six points. In boys'
volleyball the Jr. boys reached
the playoffs after leading the
Huron league.
In the winter term all boys'
basketball teams finished out of
the playoffs. The senior girls'
volleyball team advanced to
Huron -Perth before losing out.
The most successful team in.the
school had to be the cross country
ski team. The girls' team won
Huron -Perth. The boys' team
won the team race at Huron -
Perth, with Jerry Bremner
coming in first. The girls won
WOSSA and went on to OFSAA
where Janet Wood placed 19th!
The other big news of the winter
was the winning of the Huron -
Perth championship by the girls,
skipped by Donna Ballagh!
The highlight of the spring was
the high standard of soccer dis-
played under the apt tutelage of
Mills and Mali. The seniors were
in every game right until the final
4un. The juniors, playing
superbly, made it to the semi-
finals - losing out to Central
Huron 1-0. Well done boys!
in girls' gymnastics Shelley
Letteau led the way with a first
place finish in both vaulting and
uneven bars. In boys' gymnastics
individual titles went to Jim and
Greg Laidlaw and to Kevin
Wamsley. Except for a bad in-
jury to Kevin's foot the boys
would have taken the champion-
ship.
The track and field team is on
its way back. The team placed
fifth in Huron -Perth, beating St.
Marys for the first time in his-
tory. Janet Wood, Shane Purdon,
Suzanne Helphenstein, Tom
Remington all won Huron -Perth
championships, Janet Wood won
the Sr. girls title. Janet al com-
peted at WOSSA, OFS re-
gional and at all -Ontario.
Wait until next year! _
