In a Sunday game shortened by rain Harriston beat the local girls 14- 13 and in a Thursday match Formosa also beat Wingham by one run, this time 13-12. Dianne Pennington had the only home run of the game against Harriston. Tharon Riley and Tes Nethery struck out a few Harriston batters, but not enough for a win. One play which started with Kathy Walker in left field throwing the ball to short stop Peggy Tervit and then home to Joyce Thompson, kept Harriston from scoring a home run. In last Thur9day's match Peggy Tervit scored the only home run. Triple hits were by Peggy Tervit, Maxine Robinson and Kathy Walker.
