WEDDING SEA80N
IS GROWING
It used to be that weddings generally oc-
curred in June or as close to June as possible.
Wedding photographers were driven crazy by
the relatively short season because they
darted around taking pictures for a short time
and were relatively idle the rest of the time.
"The wedding season here has now spread
out more, starting in May and (going)
through to November," Mr. Snyder said
recently. The change allows wedding
photographers to take photos at more wed-
dings than before.
Summer and fall weddings are now 'so
popular that there is scarcely any difference
in the numbers of weddings in June and other
non -winter months.
In the months when wedding photography
and portraits aren't. in demand photo
finishing sales, photo equpment sales like
cameras, slide and movie projectors and
framing keep them busy at Snyder Studio.
Mr. Snyder travels as far as Walkerton,
Hanover, Port Elgin, Exeter and Listowel to
shoot weddings but generally takes portraits
in a smaller area.
He likes to take almost all kinds of people
shots because it helps him maintain his in-
terest in photography.
