took a field trip to the Wingham fire hall last Tuesday as part of Education Week. Fire
Chief Dave Crothers showed them around the hall and explained how the equipment
works.

the committee. Much interest
was shown in a display of curios
and crafts from Niger which Mrs.
Harbottle explained and com-
mented on.

GORRIE—The Come Alive
Club held its euchre party
Tuesday evening of last week in
the town hall.
Prizes for high scores went to
Mrs. Melvin Taylor and Harold
Robinson. Low scores were held
by Mrs. Lorne Mann and George
Brown. Mrs. Ivan Haskins played
the most lone hands and lucky
draw prizes were awarded to
Harvey Simmons and Mrs. Joe
Simmons.
The senior citizens appreciate
the interested .people who take
time to attend their card parties
and thank those who donated
toward the hall fuel bill.
The next meeting of the seniors
will be May 8 at 8 p.m.
Young Christians
meet at McIntosh
BELMORE—The Belmore-
Mclntosh-Mildmay Hi -C met
April 25 at the home of Linda and
Andy Renwick, McIntosh, with
eight members present.
Steve Johann led the meeting
with a poem entitled "Tacky
Tacky". The poem relates to the
human life cycle as it ,N.. 1, -
to include education, em-
ployment, marriage, family and
death. The members discussed
ways to fulfil people's lives and
be useful to the community in
"which one lives. Another poem
dealt with the emotions and
problems of adolescence.
Rev. H. Park answered
questions asked by some of the
members. The group tentatively
set Friday. June 22, as a date for
a teen dance sponsored by the In -
