Wright hosted the meeting of the
local Women's Institute with
Mrs. Harold Wallace, president,
in charge.
Following the opening exer-
cises, Mrs. L. Forler read Psalm
5 for devotions. Mrs. Wright was
named as the Tweedsmuir
curator to attend the officers'
conference at Waterloo in May'.
Mrs. Forler and Mrs. L. Schmidt
are the leaders for the senior
needlepoint course.
The motto, "A man's feet
should be planted in his country
but his eyes should survey the
world", was read by Mrs.
Wright. It compared life in
Canada to that in other countries.
Mrs. Harry Judge gave an
excellent presentation on the
subject of retirement, suggesting
how to prepare for it and how to
survive it. An interesting
discussion followed.
The members were reminded
that the petition which they
signed, requesting a rabies clinic
in Huron County, was one of the
many which resulted in suc-
cessful rabies clinics held in
January..
Lunch was served following
adjournment of the meeting.
