conducted the annual meeting of
Oalmers Presbyterian Church
which was held last week in the
Sunday School room of the
church. He began by reading the
84th chapter of Psalms, followed
by prayer. Secretary Walter
Elliott read the minutes.
It was decided to hold worship
services upstairs during the
winter months and to pay the
Outreach fee of $1.00 per member
to support Camp Kintail and
other causes.
The work of the various
organizations proved that all
members accepted the challenge
placed before them, thus con-
tributing to the witness of Christ
in this corner of Phvineyard.

members on the roll as of
December 31, 1978. Five mem-
bers, Mrs. Dawson Craig, Mrs.
James McIlraith, Andrew Gaunt,
Mm. George Y1llu1pJ and nus.

by death.
The Children of the Church met
from April until November in the
Sunday School room during
worship services. There was an
average attendance of 11. In July
a picnic was held in Wingham
park. The amount sent to the
Presbyterial treasurer was
$22.00. Leaders are Mrs. Hugh
Simpson and Mrs. Archie Purdon
and officers are Leanne Young,
Joanne deBoer and Andy Ver-
steeg.
The Women's Missionary
Society held 12 meetings with an
average attendance of nine.
There are nine active members
and 17 home helpers. The Oc-
tober Thankoffering wps held in
the church with Mrs. William
Munshaw .of Lucknow guest
speaker and guest societies from
Whitechurch UCW, Calvin -Brick
UCW, Belgrave and Lucknow
afternoon and evening WMS. A
special offering in December
paid for Christmas gifts for
residents of Pincrest ursmg

through dues, birthday teas,
offerings and donations from
home helpers. Through the
financial and spiritual support of
the members and home helpers,
the WMS was able to meet its
allocation of $356.26.
The Ladies' Aid, with treasurer
Mrs. John deBcer, had a very
active financial year made
possible through craft sales,
donations and catering. They
ended the year with a good
balance on hand.
The Young People's Society
also enjoyed a successful year,
with meetings held every two
weeks at the manse and an
average attendance of 24. They
clean the church and use the
money to sponsor a foster child
through Christian Children's
Fund of Canada. Socially, they
enjoyed two toboggan and
snowmobile _parties, an old time
dance and a beach party.

Coleen Adams; secretary David
Ross and treasurer David Elliott.
They closed 19M with a balance
of $272.64.
Sunday School -classes were
held from April until November
and that organization also ended
the year with a balance.

are shared by Mrs. John Gaunt
and Clara Milligan. Teachers are
Mrs. Wallace Milligan, Mrs.
Victor Emerson, Kathy Purdon,
Lorie Purdon, Mrs. Harvey

Young and Vickie Scott.
