ciation, described 1981 as a
good•year for 4-H in Huron
County. He was speaking at
the 34th aniWal awards night
held in Clinton last Friday
evening.
An unprecedented25 4-H
members from the county
journeyed to the Queen's
Guineas competition at. this
year's Royal . Agricultural
r`° Winter Fair in Toronto. The
. county was well represented
at the Guineas, he said, and
' was pleased to report that
although there were no •
overall champions from
Huron County, two reserve,
championships were brought

4-11 members' from Michigan

Mewhinney • said that
although only' animals
were shown at this year's
sale, he hopes next year's
sale will be bigger and even.

tribute to Len MacGregor,
extension assistant at the
Ontario Ministry of Agricul-
ture : and Food office. in
Clinton for the past 11 years.
Mr. MacGregor left the area
this year to accept a, position

Agricultural Technology.

4-H AWARDS NIGHT—The Huron County 4-H Youth
Council provided entertainment in the form of skits at
last Friday evening's 4-H awards night held in the Clin-
ton high school. A celebrity roast for Len MacGregor,
former extension assistant at the OMAF office, was one
of the highlights.

at the 1981 Seaforth Junior
Fair.
The Huron Hereford Asso-
ciation Trophy for the Cham- '

Kate Boon of RR 2; Blue -
vale, was the winner of the
Canadian Co-operative Wool.
Growers Award for the top 4-
H -fleece at achievement day.
