D1E HANULA—Passed away in Brandon, Manitoba, on July 4, Mrs. Anna Hanula of 55 Seventh Street North. Mrs. Hanula was born in Poland in 1895 and came to Canada in 1.920,- settling in Brandy'. She was an active member of the Ukrainian Women's Association of Canada. Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Morris, Toronto, William, Wingham, Mrs. Phyllis Kinton, Toronto, Mrs. Jean Gloch, New Westminster, British Columbia, and Mrs- Natalie Clark of Brandon. There are 12 grandchildren and three' great grandchildren. Mrs. Hanula was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1967 and one son, Walter, in 1975. Funeral service was held at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on July '7, with interment following in the family plot, Brandon Cemetery. AIIan Griffith passes at Wroxeter Residents of Wroxeter were saddened Thursday when it was learned that Allan George Griffith of Ann Street in that village had passed away suddenly at his home. Death occurred two days atter Mr. Griffith's. 62nd birthday. Born in Howick Township, Allan was a son of the late Richard Griffith and Kate Hupfer. \fie received •his education at SS No. 1, Turn-, berry,, and• the Wroxeter Continuation School and farmed all his adult life: He retired in October, 1976. During . the war, Allan served in Canada. He was a member of the Wroxeter United Church and Western Star Oddfellows Lodge No. 149, Brussels. AIIan is survived by his wife, the former Hazel Sparling, whom he married September 26, 1976, in Wroxeter. • Funeral service was held Saturday at two o'clock at the Gorrie Chapel of M. L. Watts Funeral Homes and was conducted by.Rev. Lloyd Martin.• Interment followed in Wroxeter Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cliff Marks, Jim Schefter, Dewitt. -teams, Alan Baitley, Vern Glark and Cecil Yeoman, Floral tributes were carried by Todd Griffith and Stephanie Griffith. He was in his 72nd year. Born in Blyth on March 17, 1910, Mr. McGill was educated in Belgrave and worked as a mechanic in his • early life. He then owned and operated McGill TV and Radio store in Wingham for 33' years until his retirement six .years ago. He was a member. . of the ' United Church and belonged to Wingham Lodge No.- 286, AF&AM. • Left to mourn his passing is his wife, the former Eva Dickson of Wingham, whom he married in Blyth in 1942. The late Joseph McGill rested at The Currie -Walker Funeral Home, Wingham, where members of Wingham Lodge No. 286, AF&AM, held a memorial service on Monday evening, July 6. Complete funeral and committal service was held' at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 7, at two Service held for E. Wilken - 8 Funeral' services were held in Listowel on Tuesday July 14 for Earl C. Wilken. Mr. Wilken, a resident of Whitechurch, died July 12 in Wingham and District Hospital. He was 60 years of age, Born Dec. 22 1920 in Wallace Township, he was the son of Amsey and Amanda (nee Miller) Wil - ken. He resided in .the Wallaceville area for a number of years, farmed at RR I, Listowel and for the past 12 years operated a garage at Whitechurch. Mr. Wilken was a member of Whitechurch United Church. He is survived by his wife, Doris nee Somers) ; his father, two sons, Bruce of Kitchener and William of RR 1, Atwood; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas Kathleen) Ross of Wingham and Glenna Wilken at home; three brothers, Floyd of Listowel, Carl of Atwood and Jack of Gowanstown; a sister, Mrs. James (Jean) Scott of Listowel and four grandchildren, Mr. Wilken was prede- ceased by his mother. Rev. Robert Perry con- ducted the funeral service, which was held at 2 p.m. at the Robert Trench Funeral Home, • Listowel. Interment is in' Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
