Music for the ceremony
was provided by Mrs.
Richard Becker, Walkerton,
and Miss Lynn Richardson,
London. When the bride
entered the church Lynn,
accompanied by Mrs.
Becker, sang 'Langer'. While
the wedding party stood at
the altar, Lynn sang °The
Wedding Song'. During the
signing of the register Lynn
played the guitar and sang
'Today' and 'Devoted To
You' and as the bride and
groom left the church, she
sang 'Walk Hand in Hand'.

grandmother, Mrs. Lillian
Newman, in rosy rust; and
Mrs. Gordon Simmons at-
tiredin light rose.
An old Scottish tradition
was honored by the
presentation of • a silver
horseshoe to the bride by
Miss Heather Davidson,
Cambridge. Mrs. George
Henderson, Heather's
grandmother, had brought
the horseshoe from Scotland.
The bride had performed the
same ceremony for
Heather's mother, Mrs.
Brent Davidson.
The bride and groom and
groom's grandfather,
George Tervit Sr., left for
Brookhaveh to visit Mrs.
Tervit Sr. and present her
with a corsage of white
carnations. Following the
visit a dinner was held for
the immediate families at
the Howick Community
eTeeee Centre. A reception and hot
smorgasbord followed, with
• guests from many centres in
Ontario and a special at-
tendant from Manchester,
England, Mrs. Ann Hulme,
• and her grandson Michael.
For honeymooning at Cape
Cod, the bride and groom
wore grey wool suits with
black accessories. Kate and
Ron are now residing in
Walkerton.
Showers were held•for the
bride by the staff of Brucelea
Haven, Walkerton; Mrs.
Robert Remington, Mrs.
Jack Tervit and Mrs. Jack
• Gusso, Wingham.
and bridesmaids were Mrs.
Robert Remington and Miss
Peggy Tervit of Wingham
and Mrs. Greg Brooks,
Oshawa. Flower girl was
Miss Jenny Remington and
the ringbearer was Peter
Gusso, Wingham.

gowned alike in floor -length
dresses of spice polyester
with sweetheart necklines
and long sleeves trimmed
with Belgian lace. Each
wore a sprig of baby's breath
in her hair and a gold
necklace, a gift from the
bride. The flower girl wore e
floor -length white polyester
dress made by her mother.

of time chatting with the
grandmas and grandpas,
which made for a pleasant
afternoon for everyone.
