A smorgasbord was served, the couple was presented with a silver tray and a social evening followed. Belmore Belmore and area friends congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Graham Rutherford on their marriage Saturday, August 23. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mulvey and Cindy recently spent a few days in Niagara Falls. Travelling the ball park circuit, the Belmore Squirts defeated Winthrop to take the series two games toone. The Bantam Girls were put out of further action by Wingham 30-18. The Atwood PeeWee Girls defeated Belmore 36-25 in final playoff action. In exhibition play the Midget Girls defeated Milday 10-9. The Squirt team entered a tournament in Walton on Saturday. It was defeated by Walton 14-13 but downed Atwood 18-13. All other top level beef shows are based on a steer calf pro- ject which ends when the steer goes to, market. The • heifer has the advantage that the 4-H'er can keep her to form the nucleus of his- fu - hire herd. 'A feature of the beef show will be the number cif breeds of calves represented. There will be as many as six breeds represented in the ring at onetime. Sixty-six competitors have entered the dairy, competi- tion. Both shows will be held in the main show barn at Erin, August 30th.
