' 1 MEDALISTS—The'J girls' ringette team won a silver
medal at the Southwestern Ontario Winter Games held in Owen Sound last
weekend. The team, in its first real competition, was only one goal away
from winning the gold, losing 7-6 to London in the final two minutes of play.

The Children's Theatre will be
performing its Christmas play,
"Windows of Christmas", at the
Wingham Town Hall on Thur-
sday, December 14, at 8 p.m.
Tickets will be sold in advance by
members of the cast and will also
be available at the door. The
tickets will cost 50 cents per child
and one dollar for students and
adults.
The Christmas season is here.
During the Christmas holidays,
the arena will be open most da
starting at 10 a.m. for boy
shinny hockey, ages 6-12 years;
11-12 a.m., boys' shinny hockey,
ages 13-17 years; 12-1 p.m., 'rink
rat' ice time; 1-2 p.m., girls'
ringette; 2-4 p.m., public skating.
This Christmas there will be a
family skating and costume
party on Saturday, December 30,
from 6-8 pin. There will be prizes
for the oldest and youngest
skaters in costume and prizes for
the largest family entry. There
will also be prizes for decorated
sleighs and toboggans. Free hot
chocolate for everyone! Come
out and have lots of fun!
