The weekly euchre party was
held at Sacred Heart Church hall
with 11 tables in play. Conveners
were Kay Rich and Betty

Vera Schneider received a
prize for having the highest score
for- the ladies. Ethel ` Willis,
playing as a man, :received
highest points. Prizes for low
scores went to Agnes Caskanette
and Fred Porter. •

A very successful'craft and
bake sale was held here Nov. 21
by the Childhood 'Cancer
Research Association. The sale,
held in Wingham United Church,
was well attended and raised $633
for cancer research. •
The subsequent, annual
Christmas craft.and bake sale
held at War Memorial Children's
Hospital; London, Nov. 24 raised
the total to $2,450. •

On Saturday, December 2,
Sacred Heart took part in a
volleyball tournament at
Stratford sponsored by the
Huron -Perth Separate School
Sports Council. The boys had two
wins and two losses. The girls
finished with a record of one and
