OBITUARY
MRS. KARL KOKESCH
Mrs. Karl (Pearl) Kokesth,
postmaster at Brussels for the
past 19 years, died Monday in
Wingham and District Hospital at
the age of 61.
She was the former Pearl Aud-
rey Baker, daughter of Mrs;
Chester Baker of Cranbrook, and
the late, Mr. Baker.
Surviving, besides her mother,
is a brother, Carman. Baker of At-
wood. Her husband predeceased
her.
Funeral services were held
today (Wednesday, Sept. 28) at
the M,' C. Watts Funeral Home in
Brussels. Burial followed at
Elma Centre Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian
Cancer Society, or the Ontario
Heart Foundation would be
appreciated as expressions of
sympathy.
Mrs. R. Hutchison
posses suddenly
Mrs. Robert Hutchison of RR 3,
Wingham died suddenly in the
Wingham arid District Hospital
on Tuesday, September 20, at the
age of 70.
Mrs. Hutchison was born in
London, 'and was a daughter of
the late Joseph Holborhe and Ella
Sharpe. The former Merle Cora
Holborne later moved to St.
Thomas where she received her
education and worked as a
spinner and reeler for the
Monarch company.
She married Mr. Hutchison on
April 30, 1931, in St. Thomas and
one year later they came to this
area. He predeceased her on
December 16, 1968.
Mrs. Hutchison was a member
of the United Church: •
Surviving are two daughters,
Mrs. Roy (Matilda) Dawson of
RR 3, Wingham and Donna,
Fergus; one son Mack of RR 3,
Wingham ; and four grandchil-
dren•. There is one sister. Mrs.
Harley Eames, St. Thomas; and
five brothers, Gordon and Wesley
Holborne of Mansfield, Ohio,
Cletus Holborne, St. Thomas,
Kenneth Holborne, La Mesa,
California, and William Hol -
borne, Toronto.
The late Mrs. Hutchison rested
at the S. J. Walker Funeral
Home, W ngham, where Rev,
John G. 1 Iberts -conducted the
funeral service on Thursday at
two o'clock. Interment followed
in Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow.
Bearers of the casket were
Arnold Dawson, Murray Dawson,
Gerald Huisser, Elmer Sleight -
holm, Bruce Pewtress and
Wayne Eames. Irvine Huisser
and Philip Dawson carried floral
tributes.
