Robt. Procter dies suddenly A life long resident of Morris Township, Robert Charles Proc- ter, died suddenly early Sunday -morning--at--the--Wingham--.and District Hospital in his 67ear. Born and educated in"brris Township, Mr. Procter was a son of the late Richard Charles Proc- ter and Margaret Ann McMur- ray. He farmed in Mbrris until his retirement in 1971 and at the time Former resident dies in Toronto A former Wingham resident, Thgmas Charles Baker of Brampton died June 12 in the Toronto General Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Wingham, Jan. 4, 1908 to the late Norman Baker. His mother, the former Annie Free survives him. Mr. Baker was educated at S.S. No. 11 Turn - berry. He worked at the Western Foundry in early life. In late years he worked at the Wagon Wheel Ranch, Brampton. He is predeceased by his wife, the former Mary Urwin, Toronto in 1970. They were.' married in Toronto in 1924. Mr. Baker is also survived by daughters: Mrs. •Bob (Norma) Mitchell, Oakville; Mrs. Tony (Dorothy) Mattachione, Toronto, and sons William of California; Thomas of Toronto and Bruce of Victoria, B.C. He was pre- deceased by one son, Milton in 1972. He is survived by 20" grand- children and eight great-grand- children. Sisters surviving are Beatrice Shripshall, Mrs. Art (Lillian) Stone; Mrs. John (Jean) McKay; Mrs. Tom (Gwen) McKinney; Arline Holchuck, Mrs. Frank (Adeline) Green. and brother Howard. He is predeceased by one brother and one sister. Mr. Baker was a.member,of the Baptist Church. The funeral was held June 15 it William Spears Funeral Chapel, Toronto. June 11, Mrs. John Flanagan, in her 72nd year. She was the former Elizabeth (Betty) Inglis and is survived by her mother, Mrs. Jenny Inglis of West Waw- anosh; one sister., Mrs. Robert (Pauline) Adams, Kinloss Township; four brothers, Mac of Highgate, Thomas of West Wawanosh, Rod, Earlton, and John of Victoria, British Co- lumbia. The late Mrs. Flan- agan rested at the MacKenzie Memorial Chapel, Lucknow, where funeral service was held Monday at 2 o'clock. Interment followed in Greenhill Cem- etery. Surviving are`his wife„ the for- mer Elizabeth Speakman, whom he married in St. Phillips Angli- can Church, Etobicoke; one son, Frank of RR 5. Brussels; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Sandra) Mayberry, Londesboro, Miss Marjorie Procter of Sarnia and Miss Maxine Procter, Belgrave; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Richard William Procter, in 1963. The late Robert Procter rested at the R. A. Currie and Son Funeral Horne, Wingham, until Tuesday when removal was made to Trinity Anglican Church, Belgrave, for service at two o'clock. Rev. Charles Speakman officiated. Interment followed in Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave. Pallbearers were George Proc- ter, Ross Procter, Harold Keat- ing, Howard Wilkinson, 'Ray Crawford and Garner Nicholson, Floral tributes were carried by Harold Vincent, Jack Kelly and Donald Procter. Fordwich Mr. and Mrs. Roy Simmonds and Mr, and Mrs. Bruce Sothern attended the 25th wedding anni- versary of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kaufman Friday night at the community centre in Clifford. ARMSTRONG—Passed away suddenly at Mississauga Hos- pital on Tuesday, June 7, .Dr. Harold G. Armstrong, DDS, husband of the late Clara Isard. He was the dear father of Dr. Kent Armstrong, Sault Ste. Marie; Mrs. J. B. (Jane) Mc- Arthur of Lafayette; Cal and Mrs. Bruce (Beth) Fenton of Islington. Also surviving are ten grandchildren. The late Dr. Armstrong rested at the Turner and Porter Peel Chapel, Missis- sauga, where funeral service was conducted Friday at two o'clock: Interment followed in Springcreek Cemetery, Clarkson. Earl A. Edgar .dies in his 44th year The sudden death occurred --N.ignday;-.June..6, -at -his_•.honer, Howick Township, of Earl Alex- ander Edgar, in his 44th year. He was born in Howick Township on August 16, 1933. He is survived by his wife, the former Verna Elizabeth Byers; two daughters, Susanne and Carolyn, both at home; one son Paul at home; his father, Stanley Edgar, RR 2, Wroxeter; two brothers, Stewart Edgar and Allan Edgar of RR 2, Wroxeter; one sister, Mrs. Don (Edith) Cook of Wallace Township; nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his mother, the former Margaret Doig. The late Mr. Edgar rested at the Davidson •Funeral Horne, Gorrie, where service was con- ducted Wednesday, June 8, by Rev. Frank Bennett of Gorrie- Molesworth Presbyterian Church. Interment followed in Gorrie Cemetery.
