Your
Handwriting
Tells
By Dorothy St, John Jackson
Certified Master
Graphoanalyst
Dear Dorothy: My mother
lives alone, is 70 -plus years
old, and is so arthritic that
she's confined to her home.
Recently, she got a small
dog. I just can't accept her
doing something like this. In
her condition, and with no
help, she has to care for the
dog. — N. T.
Dear N. T.: Has it occur-
red to you that that little fella
cares more for your mom
than she is caring for it?
Your flighty nature, seen
in a combination of your
slant and light pressure of
your writing, plus other
strokes, defies any kind of
patience with your mother or
the dog.
You have not searched out
any reason why your mom
should have this little pal,
seen in the skimming of your
n's (and m's in rest of writ-
ing). Where could she find
more real devotion than in
the wagging of that little
dog's tail? -
Who but her little dog
would sit beside her, day
after day, to comfort her, to
-give her new hope and to
make her feel so special and
needed?
Who but her little dog
would ask no more of her
than its cup of water and pan
of food? And then repay her,
many times over, by its
warmth of love and constant
companionship.
Your mom sets aside
many of her ailments for the
love„of that little buddy and,
in love, she finds peace.
Since your peace of mind is
upset by many frustrations,
seen in the t's crossed to the
right, it is hard for you to
imagine that so simple a
thing in life as a little dog
could bring any joy to a per-
son's life. You have your own
ideas, seen in the short t's,
and you see things only in
your own light.
If it's your mother's choice
to have her dog, then let her
be. She doesn't need the dis-
couragement you are pre-
pared to pre -
'
The many
give dogs herthat I have
experienced halve more
heart, more caring and more
concern than many people I
have known. So, let Mom be
free to enjoy the new hope
she finds in the love and de-
votion of her new little
friend.
