The Bluevale Senior Citizens
Club held its November open card
party on Monday, Nov. 13, with
nine tables in play.
Winners include: lady's high,
Mrs. Leddy; low lady, Louise Bos-
man; lady's draw, Audrey Vath;
high man, Milt Boyd; men's low,
Bill Willis and men's draw, Ber-
nard Thomas.

FORDWICH — The Anglican
Church Women met at the church
for its November meeting, In the
absence of Lynn Bunker, Jean
Sothern presided and opened the
meeting with a poem on Remem-
brance Day, "The Man We Never
Knew." Devotions, "Listen to the
Bells," were given by Jean Din-
smore.
Roll call was answered by 13
members and three visitors by tell-
ing of a favorite pastime or hobby.
Members decided to send money to
Fair Share in London, to J.C.R.
Williams at, Iqualuit and to St.
Monica House, Kitchener. Shut-
ins are to be remembered at Christ-
mas. Millie Nixon and Pat Brunar-
ski will be in charge.
Millie Nixon gave the financial
report and reported on the bazaar,
which was very•successful. Thank -
you notes were received from the
Duke' family and Wingham Day
Care Centre, Wingham'St. Monica
House extended an invitation to
their open house as did Ainsley
Place in Cambridge.
The clothing bale will be packed
in late November. The Christmas
dinner will be at Ellen Kennedy's
home on Dec. 7. Final plans were
made for the rummage sale on
Nov. 17 and 18.
Mary Kato introduced Freda De-
nis who instructed members in
painting Chri :turas ornaments.
Lunch was served by Audrey
Crowe and Willa Douglas.

everyone enjoyed a delicious pot-
luck dinner, with Marjorie Johnson
and Millie Nixon's group in
charge.
"Happy Birthday" was sung to
Pauline Richards, Morley Johnson
and Nellie Allan.
Roll call, "How many goblins
did you have Halloween night?"
was answered by 31.
Marjorie Johnson introduced the
guest speaker, Stephanie Schmalz,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Kaster. She spoke on the •bone
marrow transplant she wag able to
donate to her father.
In June 1991 her father was di-
agnosed with mylofibrosis. Her
speech was an interesting and
touching account of what the fami-
ly went through.

TOWN OF WINGHAM
On Halloween Night,
the Wingham Cemetery suffered an
attack of senseless vandalism.
Memorials were knocked over and
one was badly damaged
The next day
Wingham Memorials was at the
Cemetery and provided
invaluable assistance in
re -erecting the stones to their
former position and repairing the
damage at no cost to the Town.
The Town would like to
publicly thank
Mac Anderson and his sue
at Wingham Memorials for their
help and assistance
to the Municipality.
"For Others." Mrs. Johnson also
read an article from Voice maga-
zi,ne. Thank -you cards were re-
ceived from Wingham and area
Seniors Day Centre.
It was announced the. Christmas
dinner will be Nov. 29 at 12:30
p.m., with Ellen Kennedy prepar-
ing the meal. Each group will be re-
sponsible for a 15 -minute program.
The draw for the painting will be
at the dinner.
The Voice is to be renewed.
Members also voted to have the pi-
ano tuned. Members donated $50
to the Fordwich Parks Board for
Santa Claus Day.

the November card party, and Ger-
tie Lambkin and Jean Sothem for
the December card party. •
