The Council of Turnberry Township will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, October 24, 1995 at 8:00 p.m. in the Bluevale Community hall to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment. This amendment affects all properties in the urban areas of Lower Town (Plan 410), Bluevale, Wingham North, Junctionville and the west corner of Belmore. The purpose of the policies is to address existing development problems and give direction for new development on private wells and sewage systems. The policies will have the following effect: 1) All septic tanks will be pumped andvtspected on a regular basis.. 2) An education program will be provided to all residents on the proper design, use and maintenance of septic systems and wells. 3) Applications for new developments must be accompanied by information demonstrating that impacts to ground and surface water are within acceptable limits. This may involve a hydrogeological study and a minimum lot size of 1 acre. 4) -Development will be permitted subject to Huron County Health Unit approval. This includes a contingency tile bed area, percolation rates within acceptable limits, and acceptable water quality in sufficient quantities. 5) All new development will require a lot grading plan that is consistent with a master storm water management plan. 6) Area of lot coverage will be limited for all new development or expansion to allow for septic tile beds and contingency tile beds. 7) new dug wells will not be permitted in the designated urban areas. 8) industrial development in Lower Town shall be limited to dry industries. 9) On lands zoned "Developmental" in Lower Town and which are greater than 2 hectares in size, the number of animal units will be limited to four and must be accompanied with a manure management plan.
