Camping skills, swimming lessons, sports, crafts, hikes, nature lore, singsongs, campfires and special events are all part of this daycamp package. OUTD OR ALIVE "Outdoor Alive" is a special daycamp for those who enjoy outdoor fun and who are 11 or 12 years of age by December 31, 1989. This-daycarnp includes hik- ing, nature lore, carping skills, outdoor cooking, 1eports,, crafts, singsongs, campfires,. swimming ssonsand much more - an exciting, way to spend part of the summer! "HEY MOM AND DAD - THERE'S NOTHING TO DO THIS SUMMER!" Are you 1!13 years of age or older? D©.you meed a challenging and fun way to spend; the Act NOW! Join our Leaders in Training Program (L.L1.)! All Leaders in Training will work directly with chil- dren at our daycamp and/or swimming pool pro- grams. You will be outdoors, working . with other teens and helping children experience, explore and play in the out of doors. The Recrcstion Department relies:. heavily on. our L.I.T.'s to make sure our summer daycamps run smoothly. If you are interested in meeting- new friends, work- ing with, children, learning valuable leadership and teaching skills, being out of doors all summer and - having RN - we are looking for. you! LEADER IN TRAINING PROGRAM Page 3 Fee: Just your enthusiasm, ideas and good nature Age: Anyone 13 years of age or older Time Commitment: We ask that you work with us for at least two weeks of the summer (between July 1®- Aug. 18) and join us for staff training the First week in July. To apply for the Leaders in Training Program: 1. Fill out the registration form- at the end of this brochure; or 2. Call the Recreation Department (357-12 t' ); or 3. WINGHAM LAWN BOWLING CLUB The Wingham Lawn Bowling Club is located on Alfred St. and _ = ns bowling season the last week in May. Lawn bowling is an excellent sport for all ages and all levels . f ability. Former members and new members are always welcome. Flat soled shoes are the only equipment necessary as bowls are avail- able at the club for those wishing to learn the game. Due t. a shortage of pool staff this summer, we have modified our swimming schedule somewhat. 'fie modified schedule allows us to keep the pool open seven days a week and offer you. a wide range of aquatic opportunities. Our co-ordinators, lifeguards, instruct .,rs and cashiers will be working doubly hard this year and will have more responsibilities than last year How- ever, we will still ensure a safe swimming and les- son environment through efficient _scheduling of all our aquatic staff. We hope that all community nierbers will appreci- ate the hard work and effort needed to reTsthedule a swimming pool so that it can be run safely and = ciently seven days a week with only six atestafLL
