Enema Sturdy was high lady and John King, high man. Olive McKay had the most lone hands and Priscilla Bray was low lady. Betty Burley (playing as a man) was low man. A few draw prizes were awarded to Norma Hamilton, Margaret King, Agnes Williamson, Irene Bosman and Irima Edgar. The Legion will hot a shoot party on Monday, Jan. 9. The celebra- tion took place last month at Ingersoll, where the couple resided be- fore • moving .to Wingharn -14 years ago. Father Crunican conducted ery%es at Sacred Heart Church, Ingersoll, where close friends and (1;, amily shared the time of special remembrance. A reception follow- ed. Guests from Wingham, Teeswater, Woodstock, London, li goer- coil, Turkey Point, Dunnville and Langford Mills were. received. Chalmers Sunday School holds Christ Whitechurch — The Sunday School children of Chalmers Presbyterian Church held their Christmas concert Dec. 18 in the church basement, with a large attendance. Rev. John Neilson was chairman and the Sunday School superintendent was pianist for the program. Michael Irwin gave the welcome recitation and the opening chorus was followed by Karen Elliott's pre - Minister opens home to group Rev. John Vaudry and Mrs. Vaudry welcomed the Three Ms of St.' Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wingham, to their home recently for •:the -group's_ Christmas ,meeting. President Alex Robertson presided. Each member made a con- tribution toward the entertainment which resulted in a varied program of readings, musical selections and singing, Gordon Wall played several numbers on the violin, accompanied by Betty Richardson at the piano. An interesting update on 1988 was given by Doris Bushell. On recycling, she said, "Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could learn, to recycle time?" Mrs. Ross showed the film, "Christmas Raccoons", foilowed-by- a short play, "A Party .for Jesus", by -Mrs. Kathleen Elliott's class. This was followed by a short film called "Christmas Eve"'. Mrs: Clifford Laidlaw's class presented "The Gifts of the Magi" and Heather -Campbell gave a. recitation, "Christ- mas Night". A Christmas pageant, "The Bells of Christmas", was presented by the entire Sunday School. The audience joined in carols throughout the pageant. Mrs. Don Ross. Mr. and Mrs-. John Scheeringa and Meagan moved last week from Brampton to Elmira. Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Falconer and Jackie visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Pardon. Turkey bingo is held in hall BLUEVALE - Christmas came early this .year in Bluevale! At least it did for the winners of :the annual Christmas bingo held last Tuesday in the hall; Prizes varied from cash to turkeys to toys.
