PRIMARY REPORT
Last week the Kindergarten room
was bursting at the seams with
children. For two weeks, the
preschoolers are spending the
mornings with us.
— Sara Ankenman
Grade 2 has been getting in shape!
Last week we practised track and
field events for this Friday. We also
made a superb dinosaur mural and a
big book as part of our dinosaur unit.
The students in Miss Sanderson's
Grade 2 class have been busy in-
vestigating the answers to these
questions:
How many buttons will a tinfoil
boat hold before it sinks?
Which takes the longest to settle in
water: a small or large amount of
sand?
How long is a metre?
Which weighs more: dry or wet
sand?
They enjoy experimenting with
sand, water, blocks and scales to
find the answers to these and other
questions.
Grade 3 has chosen teams for field
day. Teri Brunarski is the captain of
Team A, while Cindy Heimpel is
captain of Team B. They have
signed up for the events. Some are
better at running and others are
better at jumping. It will be fun for
everyone.
—e Aaron Stewart
The Grade 3-4 students have been
practising for track and field day.
The baby duck eggs died and we
don't know why. Room 19 put on
plays last week.
