Poem opens
WMS meeting
BLUEVALE—Mrs. Glenn Golley
chose a poem entitled "Mother's
Love" to open the May 4 meeting of
the Women's Missionary Society of
Knox Presbyterian Church.
A total of 13 members and one
visitor answered the roll call with a
"bird" mentioned in the l3ible. Mrs.
Jack Jenkins was the hostess.
The minutes of the last meeting
were read and adopted. Mrs.
Jenkins gave the treasurer's report
and accepted the offering with a
prayer by Mrs. Golley.
An invitation was received from
the Belmore WMS to attend its
thankoffering meeting on May 18.
Mrs. Jack Willitts spoke on "How
to deal with anger". She said
emotion is blind to logic and
anything said in anger makes a poor
impression. We all should try to hold
our tempers when others are losing
theirs.
Anger is the least useful emotion
we feel and can be the cause of poor
health. She concluded with a very
interesting commentary on the
Olympics, which she and her family
attended. Pictures were enjoyed by
all.
"Happy the Home When God Is
There" was sung, followed by a
prayer to dose the meeting.
Lunch was served by Mrs. Golley
and Mrs. Jenkins.
Kelley.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs.
Paul McDougall (Christine Hones)
