Dinner guests with Mrs. Jean Pattison last Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pattison, Tabatha, Donna and Kevin of RR 3, Wingham and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Marks, Steven, Darryl; Karrin and Michael of Belgrave. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse visited with their sister-in-law, Mrs. Viola Stonehouse, last Saturday. The Huron County Trappers' As- sociation met last Friday evening, April 29, in the Belgrave Community Centre. There was a good shipment , of mink, muskrat, beaver and rac- coon pelts. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs, 1 Clarence Hanna were David Lennox of Brunner; Darryl Lennox and friend Janice of Kitchener and Wayne Minick and son Edwin of Kit- chener. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McDonald of RR 2, Brussels, were dirmer guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnston last Sunday. On behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society, I thank the people of Bel - grave and area for their generous donations and also those who did the collecting. A total of $2,730.50 was raised. Belgrave and area neighbors and friends extend sympathy to the Coultes families in the loss of a dear father and grandfather, Robert H. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rath of Mossley attended the funeral of their cousin, Robert H. Coultes, on Wednesday, May 4 and also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse. Mrs. Nicholson welcomes WMS for May meeting BELGRAVE—Mrs. Garner Nicholson held the Women's Mis- sionary Society meeting in her home on Monday, May 2. "When Mothers of Salem" was sung and Mrs. Nicholson read a pOem, "Have You Met God in Summer". Mrs. Ivy Cloakey read the 113th Psalm and Mrs. Mac Scott led in prayer. Mrs. Robena McBurney gave the secretary's report and Mrs. Cloakey the financial report. The roll call was answered with the names of mothers of the Bible. Thirty -One visits to the sick and slut -in were recorded. It was decided to cancel the July and August Meetings, Mrs. Scott read a poem, "Hills in Spring" and Mrs. Dalrymple read "The Girl I Used To Be" and "Fami- liar Things". Mrs. Nicholson read a story on the struggle to feed the hungry. in Ethiopia and a poem, Soinebody;s Mother". Following the singing of a closing hymn, Mrs. Nicholson closed the meeting with prayer and served lunch, Albert Cook wins high prize at weekly party BELGRAVE—Albert Cook was the high man at the weekly euchre party held in the WI Hall on May 4. Mrs. Gordon Bosman won the high lady's prize. Twelve tables were in play and other prize winners were: second high, Mrs. Agnes Bieman and George Inglis; novelty, Mrs. Marie Merkley and Robert Grasby; low, Mrs. Robert Gragby and Wilfred Walker. There will be euchre again on Wednesday, May 11, starting at 9' p.m. Everyone is welcome, ' Farm Show' presentation given at Exeter This year's spring production at South Huron District High School in Exeter is "The Farm Show", play already familiar and dear to the hearts of Huron County audiences. Twelve years ago, Theatre Passe Muraille, a Toronto Theatre troupe, came to the area to experience first- hand what country life is all about. They lived and worked with the people in the Clinton area, inter- viewed dozens •of "colorful" residents and finally wrote a play about the experience called "The Farm Show". Those interested in viewing this part of Huron County, are aSked to circle May 18 to 21 on the calendar and get their tickets as Soon as pea- sible, Tickets are available at the Exeter high ,school Office, Greeting Card World, Exeter,or iron Steve Oliver at Central Huron Secondary Sehool, Clinton. • Mr. & Mrs s Andrew Foxton married in Salvation Army Wingham's Salvation Army Cit- adel was the setting on Friday, April 15, at seven o'clock when marriage vows were exchanged by Susan Gannett and Andrew Foxton, both of Wingham. Pink carnations, .shasta daisies and yellow galdioli adorned the sanctuary for the double -ring ceremony. Lieut. Cal Barber per- formed the ceremony and the Love Chapter was read by Lieut. Melony Barber. Mrs. Gloria Whitelaw was organist and soloist, Deryl Price, accompanied himself on the guitar as he sang "Annie's Song". The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Irene Gannett of Wingham and the late Wilbur Gannett. The groom is the son of Mrs. Shirley Foxton of Wingham and the late M. Glenn Foxton. The bride was given in marriage by Kenny Wright and wore a cock- tail -length cream -colored chiffon dress with long chiffon sleeves and white pearl trim on the bodice. Matron of honor, the bride's sister, Beverley Price of Aurora, wore a peach street -length dress trimmed with white and carried a basket of silk flowers. The bridesmaid, Shari Wright of RR 4, Winghamand flower girl; Heather Wright of Wingham, wore street -length turquoise dresses trimmed with white. Shari carried a basket of silk flowers and }leather carrieda miniature version. Deryl Price of Aurora was groomsman and Jeffrey Wright of - RR 4, Winghata; Ushered guests. Jamie Benninger of Whitechurch was bearer of the two rings. A reception was held for family and invited guests at the home of the bride and groom. Receiving guests was the groom's mother who chose a street -length mint green chiffon dress. After a wedding trip to Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Foxton are residing in Wingham. Both are graduates of the F. E. Madill Secondary School, Susan employed by the Frosty Queen, Wingham and Andrew by Dearborn Steel Industries, Goderich. Honored guests at the wedding were the groom's grandmothers, Mrs. Margaret Foxton and Mrs. Dorothy Templeman, both of Wing - FATALLY INJURED The Advance -Times of Dec. 23, 1926, reported the tragic news of the death of Robert Conn, 24 -year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Conn of Concession Four, Kinloss Township. He had been cutting wood at Reuben. Tiffin's with an engine and saw he had Just purchased, when he reached over the engine to make an adjustment and his clothing caught in the revolving shaft. He was removed to Wingham hospital where it was found necessary to amputate his shattered leg. He passed away later that week. ' '
