George Leslie Hayden, passes
A Gorrie-area farmer,
known throughout the
province as a breeder of
excellent Holstein stock,
George Leslie Hayden of RR
2, Gorrie, passed away June
17.. at his residence on the
first concession of Howick
Township. He was in his 65th
year and death, followed an
illness of 'a few months.
Left to mourn his passing
are his wife, the former
Irene Pennington; four sons,
Carl of Stratford, Fraser, at
home, Earl, Waterloo, and
Glen, Listowel; his mother,
Mrs. Alberta Hayden of
Riverside Nursing Home,
Mitchell; one brother,
Russell Hayden of Palmers-
ton; and one nephew, Bob
Hayden, Renfrew. He was
predeceased by his father
Thomas in 1961 and by one
brother, Norman.
The late George Hayden
rested at the Gorrie Chapel
of M. L. Watts Funeral
Homes l until Wednesday,
June 19, when funeral ser-
vice was conducted at two
, o'clock by Rev. Cy Marzec.
Interment followed in Gorrie
Cemetery.
