The second annual Huron
Food Fest was held last
Saturday at the Seaforth
arena. The festival featured
many different types of food
grown or produced in Huron
County, from fruit to meat.
Ron and Sharon Douglas

sheep industry.
The Sacrament of Baptism
took place Sunday at the
McIntosh United Church.

Leitch -Dickson vows
exchanged at Belmore
The Belmore Presbyterian
Church was the scene of \ a
prettyr,evening wedding May
25 when Mary Dickson and
Doug Leitch, both of London,
exchanged vows at 7 p.m.
Their vows were heard by
Rev. Larry Welch.
A choir composed of 11 of
the bride's cousins provided
special music for the oc-
casion, singing "Perhaps
Love", "Sunrise, Sunset"
and "The Greatest Gift of
All", accompanied by
Evelyn Dickson at the organ,
Parents of the bride are

Belmore and the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken

The bride was given in
marriage by her parents and
wore an ivory, liquid -satin,
cocktail -length gown with
Venetian lace details, a
modified blouson, long, full
sleeves and a stand-up
collar. The bridal gown was
handmade by the bride's
mother.
Brenda CeWon of Dor-
chester was matron, of honor
and she wore a cocktail -
length, peach, polyester -
crepe dress with back pleats,
also made by the bride's
mother.
John Leitch of Wingham
was his brother's best man
and guests were ushered by
Don Edgar of Wingham and
Bill Kennedy of Toronto.
Guests were received at
the Belmore Community
Centre and greeted by the
bride's mother in a street -
length mauve dress with an
orchid wrist corsage. The
groom's .mother chose a
street -length 'dress of sand -
colored crepe with a mat-
ching hat and green orchid
wrist corsage.
The honored guest was
Mrs. Jessie McKague of
Wingham, grandmother of
the groom.. Out-of-town
guests came from Toronto,
London, Cambridge, Kit-
chener, Waterloo and Cobalt.
'Following a honeymoon
trip to Jamaica, the couple is
residing in London.

tour yarn factory
BRUSSELS — The mem-
bers of the Majestic Wom-
en's Institute met last Wed-
nesday morning and then
journeyed by cars to. the
Spinrite Yarn factory in
Listowel fora tour.
They were told the yarn
from Spinrite is marketed in
many parts of the world and
anyone with problemswith a
pattern or yarn may contact
Mrs. Rosemary Rogn-
valdson of Spinrite, who is
well qualified to solve any
problems: Mrs. Kathleen
Semple, Mrs. Jean Bell and
Mrs. Marie Stute arranged
the meeting. .
Following the tour the
members returned to the
Brussels library for a
delicious lunch. Mrs. Alice
Brothers was the lunch
convener.
Mrs. Peggy Cudmore
presided over a brief
meeting. An invitation was
received from the Walton WI
to attend its Aug. 21 meeting
with Ken Campbell the guest
speaker at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Marie McTaggart,
Mrs. Glenna Stephens, Mrs.
Iona Moore and Mrs.
Eleanor Hemingway have
formed a committee to look
after the Huron .County
Historical Society meeting in
September.
The July meeting is to take
the form of a picnic at the
home of Mrs. Doris McCall
with Mrs. Leona Armstrong,
Mrs. Edna McLellan, Mrs.
Marie Stute and Mrs.
Brothers being the com-
mittee in charge.
Mrs. Kathy Bridge is to
look after the Brussels Fair
display, "Five articles
depicting a child's birth-
day". The Majestic WI also
will sponsor a contestant for
the queen of the fair contest.

having a cook -out at the
home of Mrs. McCall tonight
(Wednesday) at 7 p.m. The
Institute members. one in-
vited to attend.
It was decided to donate
$50 to the tornado fund.
The roll call, "Hints on
saving time and energy"
was answered by 24 mem-
bers. The meeting closed
with the singing of "God
Save the Queen".

BELGRAVE — The Even-
ing Unit of Knox United
Church UCW met at the
home of Mrs. George Michie
on June 14.
Mrs. Bob Grasby opened
with a welcome to everyone
and conducted the business.
Mrs. Jim Hunter led the
worship. "Leaning on the
Everlasting Arms" was
sung, accompanied by a tape
recording of singing at West-
minster College weekend.

Norman Vincent Peale. Mrs.
Jim Hunter and Mrs. Mel
Mathers .read ..Psalm -46. Mrs.
Hunter read "Held by
Love". The offering was re-
ceived followed by the sing-
ing of two hymns. Mrs. Hunt-
er closed with a prayer and
everyone repeated the
Lord's Prayer,_
Mrs. George Michie led the
study of Korea. There was
'discussion on what . the
Koreans faced when they
emigrated and what Cana-
dians do to help.
The meeting, closed with
the Mizpah benediction and
lunch was served by Mrs.
Laura " Johnston and ,Mrs ....,
