BROTHER KILLED IN DETROIT

he had been called owing to the sad

had been employed in a brooery
store, was found dead in a rear room
having been shot down by an alleg-
ed bandit, who had entered the store:

TENNIS CLUB FORMED
A meeting attended by ten enthus=
fasts was held iu the clan. B. of
Com. Chambers, on April 3rd, for
the purpose of forming a local Ten-
nis Club. The following officers
were elected: President, Mr. M. R.
Complin; Vice -Pres., Dr. G. S. At-
kinson; Sec-Treas., • Mr. D. Davis.
It was decided that the lawn in the
rear of the Canadian Bank of Com-
merce be used as the ' Club Court.
Mr. Compiin kindly offered the use
of his court' for members of the club,
when necessary and convenient. A
membership fee of $.1.00 tor ladies
and (;2.00 for gentlemen was,decided
upon. Ladies and. gentlemen desir-
ous of joining the club are requested
