their marriage on Saturday,
March 30, at four o'clock at
Trinity Anglican Church,
Waterford. Nelson is the son
of George and Helen
Underwood, RR 1, Wingham.
His -bride, the former Amber
Gibbons, is a daughter of
Mrs. Irene Gibbons of
Wilsonville ,and the late
Edward Gibbons.
Rev. R. L. McCulloch
heard the couple's vows and
pronounced them husband
and wife. The groom's aunt,
Mrs. Gail Lear of Lon-
desboro, was organist and
the groom's sisters, Kathy
and Aileen Underwood, sang
"The Wedding Song" and
'For Life and All Its
Richness".
The bride was given -in
marriage by her eldest
brother, Murray Gibbons.

Her floor -length gown of
organza was trimmed with
silk Viennese beaded lace on
the bodice and bishop
sleeves and featured a
dropped waistline, chapel
train and high neckline. She
carried a bouquet of pink
roses, mauve alstroemeria
and white carnations.

was maid of honor and
bridesmaids were Valerie
McLebd off Hamilton, Joan
Craig off Arthur and Susan
Underwood, Heidelberg.
They wore royal blue blouses
with front tucks and neck
ruffles and matching full-
length skirts and cum-
merbunds. Each attendant
carried a bouquet similar to
that carried by the bride.
Wearing a white blouse
and full-length royal blue
skirt was the junior brides-
maid, Sara Lynn Peacock of
Simcoe.
John Underwood of Wing -
ham was best man and
guests were ushered by Fred
Stewart of Niagara -on -the -
Lake, Jim Parke, Caledonia,
and Robert Gibbons, Wilson-
ville.
Following the marriage
ceremony a reception was
held at the Simcoe Legion
Hall where a royal blue and
white theme predominated
and baskets of spring flowers
brought the room to life.
Receiving guests was the
bride's mother who wore- a
turquoise dress with front
tucks and ruffled collar. She
was assisted by the groom's
mother who chose a dress of
peach polyester crepe, with
tucks falling from the
shoulders.
For travelling to Venezu-
ela, the bride wore a royal
blue suit with cream blouse.
CWL names
new executive
The Catholic Women's
League of Sacred Heart
Church in Wingham met
recently and named its new
1985-87 executive. Members
of the executive are: past
president, Lorraine Poulin;
president, Mary McGlynn;
president-elect, Barb Mark-
levitz; secretary, Jo -Anne
O'Neal; treasurer, Shirley
Marklevitz; first vice, Trea-
sa Foxton and second vice,
Helen Houghton.
MRS. MARY WALLACE of Turnberry Township discussed home remedies for a
variety of ailments with Harold Casemore of Wingham at last Saturday's annual fund-
raising flea market a the Wingham Armouries. The flea market was sponsored by the
Wingham and Area day Centre for the Homebound.

Karen Beecroft of Kit-
chener spent the weekend at
home and on Sunday her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W.
Beecroft, took her back to
Kitchener. The_ Beecrofts
visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Archie Hurtel while in
Kitchener.
Last Saturday Michael
deBoer, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim deBoer, had an accident
with his bicycle. He was
rushed to the Wingham and
District Hospital where it
was found the' boy had suf-
fered a concussion. He was
revived and sent home.

'Given in marriage by her
uncle, Joe Augustine, the
bride wore a full-length
white gown trimmed with
Chantilly lace and seed
pearls. Her floor -length veil
was also trimmed with
Chantilly lace and covered a
cathedral train. She carried
a bouquet of cream car-
nations and dusty pink roses,
intertwined with icy' and
baby's breath.
Her matron of honor, Mrs.
Giovanna Stillitano of Lon-
don, wore a full-length dress
of dusty rose raffeta and car-
ried pink and white roses in-
tertwined with ivy and
baby's breath.
Arnold Dawson of Wing-
ham was groomsman and
guests were ushered by Murk
ray Dawson and Brian Gib-
bons, both of Wingham.
Guests were welcomed at
a reception at the Wingham
Golf and Curling Club. The
bride's mother wore a royal
blue street -length dress and
golden rose corsage. The
groom's mother chose a blue
and grey dress in a silk -blend
stripe, with a yellow and
white rose corsage.
For honeymooning at
Niagara Falls, the bride
travelled in a red linen suit
with white accessories. They
are now residing in London.
Honored guests were the
bride's mother an sister--
from Medicine fit, the
groom's aunt and cousin
from Vancouver and the
groom's aunt and uncle from
Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Other guests attended from
Mississauga, Hamilton, Bur-
lington, Stratford, Clinton
and Exeter.
