A fine, fast-moving melodrama of three girls who renew
their childhood friendship, only to find suspense and trag-
edy. Dvorak is simply marvelous.
TUESDAY, 1:00 A.M.—"I AM A FUGITIVE FROM A
CHAIN GANG". Stars Paul Muni, Glenda Farrell, Helen
Vinson. Still packs a wallop after,all these years, with Muni
as an innocent man brutally victimized by the criminal
justice system. The haunting finale is justly famous.
WEDNESDAY MIDNIGHT—"SVENGALI". Stars John Bar-
rymore, Marian Marsh, Donald Crisp. An absorbing tale of
an artist's obsession with a young girl who becomes a sing-
ing artist under his hypnotic spell. •

MONDAY, 9:00 P.M.— "THE BOY WHO DRANK TOO
MUCH". A skillful high school ice hockey player Buff
Saunders, has a drinking problem and it's effecting his
school work, his friends and his playing for the team. Buff's
only support through his ordeal with alcoholism is a close
friend who makes many sacrifices in order to help him.
