Day Centre News
By Pam Williams
The day centre is required
o raise a considerable
ercentage of its annual
budget on its own This task is
accomplished yearly
through fund-raising
projects, donations, grants
and a daily fee.
The next fund-raising
event will be our flea market
on May 4 from 10 a -m. to 4
p.m. „ The tables are being
rented to the public and
centre will be selling used
articles and baking. Any
donations would be greatly
appreciated. Call 357-1440 or
357-1445 if you want articles
picked up before the flea
market.
Last Thursday we at-
tended the Theatre Circle's
production of the musical
comedy, "TGIF". Many
chuckles and toe -tapping
music were heard that sunny
.afternoon in Blyth. We
misplaced a wheel chair
upon our return to Wingham
and its return' is a top
priority. Any information
about the chair would be
appreciated.
Nora Cundy of the

Commerce will discussing

station on -that day because it
has easy access. We will not
be having a 'program, at the
centre that day, but do
exercise your right,,to vote ori
election day.
Referrals to the centre are
welcome at any time. If you
know of someone who would
enjoy the programs at the
centre plea a call, especially
now that the weather is more
agreeable for people to be
outdoors.
A thought for this week is
from the poet Edward
Arlington Robinson: "There
are two kinds of gratitude —
the sudden kind we feel for
what we take, the larger kind
we feel for what we give."
