John and Helen Currie were in charge of the program and opened with a reading, "Counting My Blessings", and several familiar hymns were sung: The president, Shirley Donaldson, welcomed everyone and announced the December meeting will be held Dec. 19 at the manse with Rev. and Mrs. Mills in charge. Everyone is to contribute to the meeting and bring a sample of their Christmas goodies. Suggestions for the 1985 project will be presented at the January meeting as well as the slate of officers. Mr. and Mrs. Currie conducted the devotional exercises and Cora Robertson favored those present with a selection of hymns. A few games were enjoyed before lunch brought an enjoyable evening to a close. the funeral of the late Mrs.. Mary .Graham last Wed- ,nesday. Also attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Archie Sinclair of Kilsyth; Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Halliday of Chesley; Mrs. Betsy Crawford of Tara; and Mr. and Mrs. 'Mitchell Lundy and Howard Lundy of Chats- worth. All visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs Les Halliday as well. Friends here were sorry to hear Sunday that Mrs. Crosby Sotheran passed away in the Listowel hospital. The sympathy of the community goes to her daughter and son-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. Bill (Rosemary) Magill of London. Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Kelley were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Welsh and Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Donaldson and family of Moorefield. Mrs. Edgar Gedcke is a patient in the Stratford hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope she'soon will be able to return home. Mrs. Doug Stewart of Kitchener visited last Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stewart and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kreller. Gorrie Linda Jean Gray has moved to Montreal and is working at the Royal Vic- toria Hospital. The Canadian Bible Society canvass in the Gorrie area amounted to $1,001 this year.
