JOHN JACKSON Certified Master Graphoanalyst Dear Dorothy: I am a widow, 52 years old and in good health. But my life is a bore. My husband left me financially independent so I don't have to work. I don't go out socially and have no one to call a friend. I keep busy with my books because I do enjoy reading. Nevertheless, there's something missing in my Life. — T.A. • ' Dear T.A.: Your intelli- gence, good health and money in the bank are your extra bonuses that you should be letting out for in- terest. The large beginning loop on capital M tells us that you are craving a place in life that will give you a feeling of importance. In other words, you want to increase your self-esteem through your value to oth- ers. But you feel .so cramped and your scope of activity is so narrow, seen in your small writing, that you feel frustrated, espe- cially in the area of your goals, seen in the is crossed tg4the right. It is true that you are in- terested in the literary field, and yes, you enjoy reading, seen in the re- versed .t loop, Greek e's, breaks in words and other strokes, but even that 'gets dull after so long. Your trait of caution, seen in the straight line ex- tension at end of words (es- pecially at end of lines) has almost brought you to a stop, as you keep looking for risks or dangers that might be involved if you move ahead. Caution is good, if one needs it, but your small writing already indicates your confinement t youtself: Far better that you cater to that large loop on M, and break the chain that binds you. Have you ever thought about reading to the sick and shut-in, instead of to yourself? Have you. ever thought about turning a hospital or nursing home into an exciting fairy tale? And have you ever consid- . ered that the tears of grati- tude in. the eyes of those who can't read could bring tears of happiness. to yours? Suddenly it could turn your reading joy into living joy and make you wonder wliy you are experiencing more fulfillment in your life than you ever thought you deserved.
