things I am sure everyone
had an enjoyable and hearty
Thanksgiving dinner. Now
the students are looking
forward to the "spookiest"
time of the year, Hallowe'en.
Already the familiar ques-
tion, "What are you going to
be for Hallow'en?", has
risen.
With Hallowe'en only two
weeks away, it shouldn't be
long before we'll be hearing
"Trick or Treat" at our front
steps.
The drama club is getting
ready for Hallowe'en by
preparing two presentations
for the younger'- groups' of
children at the school. The
two plays are "liaghead"
and "The Littlest Witch".
We are hoping all the pupils
will like these two per-
formances.
As for sporting events,
soccer tired us all out last
Thursday. Teams from
Wingham, Brussels, Bel -
grave, Turnberry, Grey and
Howick all participated and
had lots of fun at the Grey
Central School.

Mrs. Martin's class
members were busy
finishing their leaf projects
last week. It was a home
project, which meant the
pupils' families could help
with the collecting and
organizing of the leaves, if
needed, While doing these
displays, they were taught
the skills of pressing, project
printing, spacing and
mounting the leaves on the
bristol pard. A special
thanks to all the parents who
helped.

Mr. Morton is helping the
Grade 6 class write fairy,
tales. There are four groups
of children. They all have the
same characters, but are
making different stories.
The characters are: Floy,
Penelope, 'Orville, Julie and
IDK. These pupils are
having a very enjoyable time
and are putting their
imaginations to good use.

Last Thursday, the Grade
is and 2s had a special
visitor. Jeannine Elston
brought in her two-week old
baby sister, Gillian. This
week they went to the
children's museum at
London. They also are going
to see their new science
gallery and Hallowe'en
happenings. In environ-,
mental studies, they have
discussed seasons and what
causes the different seasons.

Mr. Sakasov's class has
learned the rules of playing
soccer. They also are
preparing for the North
Huron Cross -Country Run
and are planning a trip to the
Rockton Lion Safari. They
are reading the novel The
Key to Treasure. There is a
rumor that a treasure is
hidden in the school and they
will hunt for it as the clues
turn up.
