Mr. and lVrrs. Alonzo Hodgins,
The anniversary services .in the
Methodist' church'` on Sunday ,last
were 'very successful. The weather
being all that could be desired. At
the morning service a comfortably
Milled house greeted the Rev. F. E.
Clysdale of Main St. Exeter, wlio in a
clear forceful way delivered a ser-
mon that was much appreciated by
all present. In the evening the ser-
vices of the Evangeical church were
withdrawn and every available chair,
and space, had to be pressed into
service to accommodate the large
crowds that
gathered many of whom
had to be turned away through lack
of room inside.' The pastor Rev. D.
McTavish, rassisted by Rev, W. • Y.
Dreier, of the Evan. church, who led.
in prayer, conducted the service, his
subject was "Self Righteous Bigo-

and ' `his
Yplea was for 'a more
brotherly attitude towards each other

dress was read and Mr. Jacob Gaiser
made a fitting and touching reply.
To Mr. and 1"Irs. E7acob Gaiser.
Dearly beloved parents and grand-
parents, it seemed impossible for us
to permit the occasion of your 25th
wedding anniversary to pass by "with-
out observing the event in'a real fes-
tive'' manner. Thus we have assem-
bled here to -day, under this very
happy and pleasant circumstance, on
this dear old homestead so full of im-
perishable and secred memories and.
where a wonderfully kind Providence
has measured out to you His unceas-
ing, temporal and spiritual blessings.

And as God your Heavenly Parent
has been to you, so you have been to
us and because of all this your good-
ness to us, your Christian,- example

home 'and family; our hearts are
Overflowing with fondness, apprecia-
tion and thankfulness to
you, for
these things are valuable beyond the
price of rubies and diamonds and all
the material possessions. This paren-
tal home has "ever been fragrant with
peace,love harmony and Happiness

of the nation. In it centres the
peace and; .prosperity of the whole
race of mankind, it is God's nurser.'
for growing souls and nothing can
brake up for the lack of it. It is the
chief corner stone of society, the pre
server of law and order and of a
Christian citizenship that makes for
strength and safety, far beyond that '
of military and naval ,power.
Happy the 'home' where Jesus' name
Is sweet to every ear,
Where children early- lisp His name
And parents hold it dear;
