DEATHS McMINN—Passed away at Huronview, Clinton, on Saturday, September 8, Leslie McMinn of 78 Patrick Street West, Wingham, in his 69th year. m He was the beloved husband of the former Lorna Baylor; dear father of Mrs. Walter (Leora) Bacon of Orangeville and. Charles of For t. John, B.C. Also surviving are three grandchildren; one sister, Vera Morton of Spruce Grove, Alberta; and two brothers, Norwood of Shallow Lake and Archie, Kitchener. He was predeceased by• one brother Charles earlier this year. Funeral service was conducted Tuesday at two o'clock at The McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, by Capt. Borden Linkle.ter. Mrs. McClenaghan passed away Saturday, September 8, at Maitland Manor Nurs- ing Home, Goderich, after a lengthy illness. She was in her 89th year. Born in Kinross Township on Sep- tember 29, 1895, she was the former Lily Victoria Gaunt, a daughter of the late Edwin Gaunt and Ada Garbutt. Her husband predeceased her in 1955. Left. to mourn her passing are one daughter, Mildred McClenaghan of White- church, and one son, Edward McClenaghan of Kitchener. There are three grandchil- dren, six great-grandchil- dren and one sister, Mrs. Alex (Edith) Sealy, Vancou- ver, B.C. She was prede- ceased by one sister and five brothers. 'The former Amelia Emma Willert, Mrs. Pattison was born at Parkhill on February 1,1915: She was predeceased by her parents, Simon P. Willert and Irene Bice. After receiving her education in Dashwood, she worked in London and Detroit before Longtime Howson employee, Wilfred J. Vollmer dies , An employee of Howson Mills for 27 years, Wilfred Joseph Vollmer of RR 2, Wingham, passed away Saturday, September 8, at St. Joseph's Hospital, London. Born 78 years ago, on May 7, 1906, Mr. Vollmer was a native of Mornington Township where his parents, the late Joseph Vollmer and Catherine Dentinger, resid- ed. He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catho- lic Church, Wingham. Mr. Vollmer was prede- ceased by his wife, the former Angeline Schiestel, in 1980. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Erwin (Shirley) Ste. Marie of New Hamburg and Mrs. Glenn (Eileen) Skinn, Hanover; one son, Harry Vollmer of RR 2. Wingham, and nine grandchildren. There are four surviving sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Edith) Isley of Beachy, Saskatchewan; Mrs. Charlie (Clara) Kocher of Kitchener; Mrs. Sidney. (Loretta) Reist, Elmira; and Mrs. Clarence (Nettie) Weiler, Walkerton; and one brother, Norman Vollmer of Elmira. Funeral service was held Tuesday, September 11, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Wingham, Rev. Stan Soltysik officiating. Inter- ment followed in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Teeswater. Pallbearers were Don Wallace, John Schiestel, Tom Rowe, Michael Willie, Michael Ste. Marie and Darren Ste. Marie. Angela and Teresa Skinn carried floral tributes. Together she and her husband operated the business on Wingham's Josephine Street until retirement in 1975. They were married in London an August 23, 1954. Mrs. Pattison was the dear' mother of Mrs. Jan (Katherine) Vanderhorst of Kitchener and James of Toronto and grandmother of Peter John Vanderhorst. She is also survived by one brother, Mervyn Willert of Willowdale, two nieces .ond two nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Margaret Kiener, formerly of Columbus, Ohio. Mrs. Pattison was a for- mer member of the Ladies' Auxiliary to Branch 180, Royal Canadian Legion. Friends paid their respects at The McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, where Mrs. Pattison rested until Monday when funeral serv- ice was conducted by Rev. J. Rea Grant at 1:30. Interment followed in Wingham Ceme- tery. Active pallbearers were Clifford Penhale, Robert Pike, Fred Lewis, Dave Murray, Bill Cruikshank and Bruce Machan. Honorary bearers were John Currie, Lloyd Casemore and Ed Edighoffer.
