held in the Methodist church on Wed-
nesday evening last, when quite a
large number from the different
churches in town attended. In addi-
tion to the addresses given, a duan
ber of lantern slides on India were
shown.
The apple social held in the ba,se-
inent of Carmel church on ] riday
evening last was a decided success.
A very interesting program was given
consisting of readings' by' i\tiss Ola
Cook, songs by Misses Florence
Welsh and. Jessie Parks and musical;
numbers. After the program- a soc-
ial time was spent in group games
etc.
The annual Missionary anniversary'
of the Methodist church was held on
Sunday last when Rev. Mr. Maines,
of Grand Bend occupied the pulpit in
the morning and Rev. Mr. Sinclair
took the service in the evening. Mr.
Sinclair was to have spoken on the
subject "The Seven Wonders of Hell"
on Sunday evening last,' but owing
to the anniversary, will speak on that
subject next Sunday.
A -special meeting of the League
will be held in the Methodist church:
on' Monday evening, Dec. 3rd. The
program will be 'given. entirely by
:nen and all the ni,en of Hensall and
vicinity are invited to attend. 'Ad-
resses will be given by Rev. W. 13.

A quiet but?' pretty wedding took
place at 2 o'e10 lc Satu'rday afternoon
Nova 10th:, at the Lutheran parsonage
Dashwood, when ' Dora Catherine,
daughter of Mr. - and Mrs. • Peter
Kraft was united in marriage to Mr.
Wm. Stadelbauer, of `London, son of
Mrs. and the late John Stadelbauer;
of Ingersoll. Rev. Mr. Graupner of -

The bride wore a French
canton crepe dress in sandalwood
shade heavily. headed, with shoes
and -stockings to ,match and a cor-
sage of Ophelia ,roses. The bride's
only attendant was Miss Vera Seibert
and Max De Made attended the
groom.. Later -in the afternoon Mr.
and Mrs. Stadelbauer left by motor
for London enroute to Detroit and
Saginaw for a short honeymoon. The
bride travelled in 'a. navy suit with
gray neckpiece, hat and shoes., On
their return they will live in London.
The bride received many gifts includ-
ing a cabinet of silver from the
groom and a check from her parents,
