Commencing October 1st the morn-
ing train from the north will arrive
'in Exeter about half an Hour earlier.
The time for the arrival of the train
at present is 9.17.
Billy, the young son of Thos. Quin-
ton, of Usborne, had the misfortune
to 'fall }while running breaking his
right arni. The same arm was brok-
en about a year ago.
Mrs. Hoskins has returned home
after an extended visit to Winnipeg
and the West. She came down the

days in Port Huron.
Mr. Isaac VanVelzer, son Master

Westwood, N. J., who were visiting
with relatives in London motored up
in their Lincoln car and spent the

The Canadian Bank of Commerce
have been authorized to accept sub-
scriptions on behalf of the -'Red Cross
Fund for Japanese relief. Thisis a
worthy cause and no doubt will
meet with a hearty response.
Thursday and Friday last were the
days of Seaforth fair. Rain on both
days interferred with the .success of
the fair. The indoor exhibit was
good. The parade by - the school
children, the horse races, the judging
of horses and .the baby contests
were left over for a future date.
The Fullarton4bnsebn.il team, win-
ners of the Perth County league,
played a return game with the Mid-
dleport team from Brant County on
Saturday last at Fullerton. The
home team were defeated 4 to 3.. In'
the first of the home and home games
Fullerton won 6 to 0. Fullerton
were winners 'of a silver trophy pre-
sented by Hon. Peter Smith.

Fair an error was made in the class
for. Yorkshire hogs. Mr: G., W.
Miners, of Usborne, swept the list in
this class. At the Wei tern Fair,
London; Mr. Miners` won four firsts,
nine seconds and four thirds. The
prizes netted him about $18.0 in
cash: A six months' old hog that
won first prize and was champion
boar of all ages was sold to some
bu er from s f om Japan, for one of the
government farms. Mr. Miners also
Sold a nine month's old hog that was
ski»ped to the Robert Hood farm in
Pennsylvania,
