been visiting friends and relatiVes in

his home in North Battleford, Sask,

onto Friday last, after visiting for

is gaite ill with asthma had a severe
choking spell on Friday night last
and those in attendance feared for
his death.

holding his own.

ter, Mrs. F. Newman', 61, Kingsto'n.

been ill but are improving,.

Mr. D. A. McGillivray represent-
.ing Meisrs. Foster and Glendenning,
and Messrs. Win., C. Brent &' Co. of
Toronto, is in town in connection
with the financing of the Gaudreau
Gold Mines, Ltd. This is of partic-
ular interest to those who remember
Mr. George Glendenning, an old
McGillivray boy, who has attained
much fame in the mining world. 'Mr.
Glendenning in association with Mr,
Clement A. Foster, a mining engin-
eer, of high repute is engaged in the
development of mining properties an
a big scale. Messrs. Foster.,and Glen-
denning operate in all the inaport-
ant mining 'camps and were pioneers
in Cobalt and Kirkland Lake dis-
tricts. Their. most recent accomp-
lishment is that of ,deVeloping their
holdings in Gondreau.
M. 0, F. Hooper was in London
over the week -end yisiting
Hooper IA/1o, recently, underwent *an
operation at Victoria Hospital. Mrs.
I-Ioope'r is getting along nicely and is
expected home in a few days.

who has been seriously ill with pneu-
monia, and who was progressing fav-
orably, took a turn for the worse on
Thursday and is new quite seriously
