MR. AND MRS. FRANK GERARD HAGAN
Garden setting
A pretty garden settingat the home of the bride's
parents was the scene on' Friday, August 17 at 5 p.m.
for the wedding of Lowisa Ann McDaniel and Frank
Gerard Hagan.
The bride is the, daughter of Helen and Ross
McDaniel of Goderich and the groom is the son of Leo
Hagan of Seafortb and the late Mrs. Hagan.
The Reverend Ralph King officiated at the double
ring ceremony. Sharon and Larry Johnston, ac-
companied by Randy Lauson on the guitar, sang "I
Will" and "And I Love You So".
"The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She
wore /formal wedding gown of Farrah with a blouson,
bodice accented with pearl studded yoke and a
mandarin collar. She also wore a matching bowler hat
and carried a lace fan covered with purple and lilac
shades of silk morning glories and rose colored rose
buds.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Monica Murdoch of
Kitchener, friend of the bride. She wore a full length
off the shoulder gown of sheer voile accented with
velvet appliques of purple. flowers. She carried a silk
bouquet of purple morning glories, sweet peas and
rose buds.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Denise McCabe of Goderich,
and Tanya Palmer of Ottawa, friends of the bride.
They wore gowns identical to the matron of honor's
_ gown and carried_similar bouquets
The flower girl was Samantha Brown. of Guelph,
cousin of the bride.
Best man was" Paul Hagan of Seaforth, brother of
the groom.
Guests were ushered into the garden by Larry
McCabe and Ron Miller, both of Goderich, friends of
...........
Ringbearer was Sean. Speake of Fredericton, New
Brunswick, nephew of the groom.
Following the wedding ceremony and reception in
the garden, a dinner and dance were held at the
Maitland Country Club.
Guests attended from Fredericton, " Ottawa,
Carleton Place, Perth, Kemptville, Napanee, Toronto,
Niagara Falls,'London and Se'aforth.
Following a wedding trip through Northern Ontario,
Mr. and Mrs. Hagan took up residence at 64 Wellesley
Street, Goderich.
Prior to the wedding, the bride and groom were
entertained at 'a dinner party given by Mary and
Bruno Lapaine and Kay and Bert Alexander. A dinner
party was also hosted by Sharon and Larry Johnston.
A coffee party for the bride was hosted by Mrs. Jean
Smith and a luncheon shower was hosted by Mrs.
Monica Murdoch at the summer home of iter parents
on Lake Huron. -
