marriage in the Goderich area. Cecll Is a native of the
area and Edna moved hereto teach school at Benmiller

Benmiller. In 1935 they opened Baxter's Dairy on West
Street which is now known as Andrew's Dairy. They
operated that business until 1948 raising four children in
the process. After selling the dairy they moved to

A lady once planned a
wonderful party. She
invited all her friends or
at least prepared written
invitations. She was so
excited about getting
together with her friends
that she could hardly wait
for the party to begin.
Finally the evening
came. She was all
dressed up and waiting
for the door bell to start
ringing but this did not
happen. No one came.
The disappointment was
more than she"could bear.
Her heart was broken, in
fact this lady died from
depression. After her
death, a packet of in-
vitations was found in her
The Goderich Harbouraires presented a $2,000 cheque
to the Huron County board of education Monday to
finance the George Buchanan Memorial Award at
Goderich District Collegiate Institute. The $200
musical award is given annually to a student excelling
in music at GDCI. The cheque is to be used to purchase
a bond and the annual interest from that bond is to be
used for the award. Presenting the cheque tp GDCI
principal John Stringer (centre) is Harbouraire
director Lorne Dotterer as Harold Bettger looks on.
Most of the money was donated by present and former
Harbouraires. About $500 was earned at the Big Sing
held at Knox Presbyterian Church. (photo by Jeff

desk drawer. She had

God tells us in the Bible
that if we forget to invite
His Son Jesus Christ into
our heart, into `our life
that we will die In our sins
and will not receive His
gift of everlastirtg life. In
fact, we stand con-
demned already and will
be punished after we die
by God. In Hebrews 9:27
we read, "It is appointed
unto man once to die but
after this the
judgement."
Do you see the
responsibility that is
placed on you? If you do
not invite Him He_will not
.
come and you will not be
saved. What are you
going to do?
Let me share some
scriptures with you
concerning Man's
responsibility:
John 1: 12 "As many as
received Him, to them
gave He power to become
the sons of God, even to
them that believe on •His
name.
Luke 13:3 "Except ye
repent, ye shall all
likewise perish."
Acts•.,16:31 "Believe on
the Lord Jesus Christ,
and thou shalt he saved.
Revelation 3:20
"Behold, I stand „at the
door and knock: if any
man hear my voice, and
open the door, I. will come
in to him, and will sup
with him, and, he with
me."
Romans 10:13
"Whosoever •. shall call
upon the , name of the
Lord shall be saved."
John 3:36 "He that
believeth on the Son. hath
everlasting life; and he
that believeth not the Son
shall not see, life; but the
wrath of God ahideth on
him.
Not everyone will see
this new wonderful life
which Jesus has the
power to give but only
those who receive him,
believe him, repent and
open the door. Only those
who call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved.
When Jesus visited this
earth, He proved that He
could indeed bring a dead
person back to life. He
proved it by doing it, and
many people saw it
happen. People saw
Lazarus, who was dead
four days, come out of the
tomb and live again.
I want you to know that
,Jesus is waiting today to
hear from you for it is not
his wish that any should.
perish, but you will if you
don't. Asa representative
of God I am informing
you about the respon-
sibility of man in this
matter of everlasting life
in Heaven. If I can be of
ahy further help to you
please do not hesitate to
call 524-6739.
