Ever wondered what police do with marijuana when they seize it. They lock it up.
One of the cells at the Goderich OPP detachment is full of the stuff, all neatly
stacked against walls, laying on the floor and suspended on string. The stuff was
found growing in a cultivated field near Exeter and was seized. Because of
cramped conditions in that detachment the marijuana is being stored in
Goderich. Ptilice say investigation into the seizure is still being done and wouldn't
release much detail except to say the plot was highly cultivated and the crop was
estimated at $16,000 value on the street. Officers in (he Goderich detachment have
fans working in the cell block to ease the odour which they say is'a lot like rotting
alfalfa. (photo by Jeff Seddon)
