full length gown of silk organza. The'solitaire neckline
was trimmed with guipure lace and had long bishop
sleeveand a full cathedrallength train. She also
- *Ore a double tiered fingertip veil and carried a
cascade ,bouquet of yellow roses, spider mums, and
white carnations.
Maid of honor was the brides sister, Betty White,of
London. She wore a mint green jersey knit gown with a
V neckline, and carried a bouquet of yellow spider
mums.
Best man was Dave Britton of Stratford. The groom
and best man wore sandstone tuxedos. Ushers were

brother-in-law of the groom.
The reception was held at the White Carnation in
Holmesville. The bride's mother -received- -guests
wearing a pale blue gown with attached cape and a
corsage of white enations.

The Httron- County
health unit intends to
carefully mesitor health
conditions at the
priv-ately owned Heather
Gardens in the future to
ensure that residents at
- the Vanastra home for
former psychiatric
.patients get adequate
medical attention.
County medical officer
of health, Dr. Brian
Lynch, told county
eimincil Thursday that the
supervision of medical
care for the 70 residents
at Heather Gardens
resulted from complaints
from a Seaforth doctor
that there was a six
month lapse in medical
supervision at the home.
Lynch, who refused to
disclose the name of the
Seaforth doctor, told
council that he checked
out the complaint about
medical • attention for
residents of Heather
.Gasdens becausethe law -•
reqeired him to: He told
council that. it was- his
responsibility, to ensure
that places like Heather
Gardens maintain health
standards according to
provincial law:, -.
He explained to cqu-ncil
that Tie-. did "riot ,want to .
create the impression
that Heather ,Gardens
was _giving residents
shoddylee-atment. In fact
he tol council that the
co-oper ion he received
from the owner ':of the

'excellent" and that he
satisfied that
residents were looked

Seaforth had been
retained to look after
residents. _
Whitman said he had
seen so -me residents of
Heather Gardens and
indicated that medical
supervision was not what
it had been..he did
say that any medical
problems were brought to
his attention- -promptly
adding that Mrs. Ha'skett
was doing "a good job of,
caring_for the patients.
