The Goderich Signal-Star, 1979-05-24, Page 9Sports�e Bolton Evans win two -ball 'The holiday weekend is over and its back home and back to work, or school, for many people. For golfers, it was a good weekend to get back in the swing of things, with both beautiful weather (except for the two -ball event) and an extra day to get the feel of golfing again. Evelyn Evans and George Bolton were the winners of the Two -Ball event on Monday with a fine 44 for nine holes of golf. Other winners were Rocky Whalen and Bob McDougall, Shirley Baechler and Mike Russelo, Joyce Bolton and Cliff Kennedy. A great pot -luck supper was enjoyed by all. The next two -ball party will be held on Sunday June 3 at 1 p.m. This event will start with a brunch and 18 holes of golf to follow, Plan to attend and sign in at the pro shop. The men enjoyed their skill at using only three clubs on men's nite past. The low gross winners were Greg Beacom and Tim O'Brien and low net was won by Pete Teichert.. First flight winners were Tim O'Brien and Stan Telford. Second flight, was won by Greg Beacom, Don Fuller, Marcel Richard, Paul Corriveau, Ron Allin and Bob Boak. Third flight winners were Pete Teichert, Jim Green, Harry Williams, Al Hamilton, Bill Thomp- son, Harold McPherson and Gary Chambers. Reminder to the men, "Field Day Sunday May 27". Tee off from 8-9 a.m. and brunch to follow - a great fellowship day. Tonight will be one of the first, of ten pin days for the year, which is 18 holes of golf, if you wish to participate in this event. There will also be nine holes of golf for the regular ladies nite. Motocross action at HullyGully House League Motocross action entered its second week at Hully Gully last Thursday. In Peewee A action, Brad . Armstrong of Goderich finished in third place behind Randy Ford, Grand Bend and Randy Marriage, Clinton. Kevin Talbot of Goderich took third spot in the peewee B division behind two London riders. Two Goderich riders finished one-two in the Novice A category with Rick Carman taking first place and Charlie Maaskant, second. • Steve Boyce of goderich won the novice B event with Don Oetting of Sarnia finishing second.
