Have a heart relationship
BY THE REVEREND
CLAIR SAMS,
BIBLE MISSIONARY
CHURCH
" The song ,writer wrote
so clearly and expressed
himself; so well when he
said: `
"Out of my bondage,
sorrow and night
Jesus I come, Jesus I
come
Into thy freedom,
gladness and light
Jesus I come to theee.
Out of my sickness, into
thy health,
Out of my want and into
thy wealth
Out of my sin and into
thyself
Jesus I come to thee."
John said, "Behold,
what manner of love the
Father hath bestowed
upon us, that we should
be called the sons of God:
therefore the world
knoweth us not, because
it knew him not. Beloved,
now are we the sons of.
God, and it doth not yet
appear what we shall be:
but we know that, when
he shall appear, we shall
be like him; for we shall
see him as he is. And
every man that hath this
hope in him purifieth
himself, even as he is
pure. Whosoever com-
mitteth sin transgresseth
also the law: for sin is the
trans'ression of the law.
And ye know that he was
manifrested to take away
our sins; and in him is no
sin. Whosoever abideth in
him sinneth not:
whosoever sinneth hath
not seen him, neither
known him. Little
children, let no man
deceive you: he that
doeth righteousness is
righteous even as he is
righteous. He that

In Goderich
Holmesville United Church was the scene of a pretty
wedding on Saturday, March 17 at 4 p.m. when Philip
Andrew Paquette of Clinton and Laurie Janine Ginn of
Goderich exchanged yows.
The bride is the daughter of Jean and Gerry Ginn of
Goderich and the groom is the son of Barbara and Don
Paquette of Ripley.
The Reverend John Oestriecher of Clinton officiated
at the double ring ceremony. Music was provided by
soloist Avice Bisset and organist Kathy Paquette.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Nancy Scott of London, sister
RQ„of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Jan Ginn of Waterloo, sister of
the bride and Margo Bettger of Windsor, friend of the
bride.
Flower girls were Tracy Ginn and Lesley Ann Ginn
of Goderich, nieces of the bride.
Groomsman was Jim Paquette of Ripley, brother of
the groom..... _.__.
Guests were ushered into the church by BillTranter
of Ripley and Murray Hill of Benmiller.
Following a wedding trip to North Palm Beach,
Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Paquer.te took up residence in
Goderich.
committeth sin' is of the
devil; for the devil
sinneth from the
beginning. For this
purpose the Son of God
was manifested, that he
might destroy the works
of the devil. Whosoever is
born of God doth not
commit sin;..." (I John
3:1-8).
'Tis a blessed
privilege to know the
joys of sins forgiven, and
the strength of righteous
living, through Christ.
I can remember when
my life wasn't always as
it is'now. As a boy I would
be heavy and fearful
because of sin, and even
into early adulthood there
was the conviction of
wrong committed.
But thank the Lord, I
found a place of prayer
and know the power of
forgiven sin.
I know what John
meant when he said, "if
we confess our sin He is
faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all
unrighteousness."
What a joy to have a
heart that condemns not.
There was a professor
in college who said, "I
have a hard time
distinguishing between
the heart and the head
when people talk of
religion".
A young student, who
had found real
forgiveness for sin, asked
for permission to speak
and answered, "I will tell
you how to distinguish
between the heart and the
head. You get all alone
somewhere and repent of
every sin and beg God
forgiveness until there
are no questions and you
will have no more trouble
in deciding between a
head experience and a
real heart relationship
with God."
God's word said, "if our
heart condemn us God is
greater than our heart.."
Again John said, "If
our heart condemn us
not, then we have con
fidence toward God".
We can sing with the
writer:
There's joy in the
camp,
a sinner has come
home.
There's joy in the
camp,
rejoicing round the
throne.
Singing and shouting, ,
The great redeemKs
song.
Out of the darkness
Into the light.
There's joy, wondrous
joy in the camp.

Catholics to attend
Charismatic Renewal
An estimated 12,000
Catholics from Canada,
the U.S.A., and other
parts of the world will
attend a Provincial
Catholic Charismatic
Conference, from August
16 to 19 at McMaster
University in Hamilton.
It is the fourth con-
ference to be held in
Ontario under the
auspices of the C.C.S.O.
(Catholic Charismatic
Services of Ontario).
The Charismatic
Renewal is said to be the
fastest growipg
movement in the
religious world today.
Charismatic Catholics
believe that the
Charismatic Renewal
brings nothing new to the
Church, only a renewed
awareness of what the
Church already
possesses.
The goal of the
Charis-rnatic Movement
is to serve the Mission of
the Church by helping
people live a committed
and powerful Christian
life, aided by the Gifts of
the Holy Spirit.
The theme of the
Conference is, "Only Say
the Word and I Shall be
Healed". Bishop Paul F.
Reding of the Diocese of
Hamilton and auxiliary
Bishop James H.
MacDonald will officially
open and participate in
the conference as well as
host the Bishops of
Ontario and other at-
tending Bishops.
