Mr. Lorne Brindley and
Miss Brenda Feagan

Mrs. Earl Feagan) of
Olds, Alberta were home
' visiting their parents for
the past week after being
on vacation in Florida:
A number •from this
area attended the "Poker
Rally" at Auburn on
Sunday.
Ronald Clements is in
London Hospital as a
result of a snowmobile
accident on Sunday. He is
coming along quite well
and he is wished a speedy
recovery.
Ken Clements is at
home recovering nicely
as a result of a
snowmobile•• accident on
Sunday also.
UCW
The UCW ladies
"Sunshine Sisters" had a
lovely dinner at the
Candlelight Inn in
Goderich last Thursday.
Fifteen ladies were
present and all the ladies
received corsages from
their Sunshine Sisters.
After the dinner they
were guests of the Signal -
Star for a tour. It was
very interesting to see
how tkre presses worked
and how they kept
changing from time to
time.
The UCW woulct;like to
say a big thank you to all
who • showed them how
everything worked at the
Signal -Star...
GLT performs at Blyth
The Blyth Centre for
the Arts announces that
the next production which
will be appearing on
stage at Blyth Memorial
Hall is "The Four
Poster" scheduled for
Wednes,day evening,
March. 7 at 8 pm.
This three -act comdey
by Jan de Hartog comes
to Blyth after a very
successful three -night
run in Goderich at
Mackay Hall. Produced
by the Goderich Little
Theatre, and directed by
Eleanor Robinson, the
play spans a 25 -year
period in the lives of
Agnes and Michael and
looks at various events
that make up the course
sof their marriage.
Members of the audience
will enjoy identifying
with and relating to the
activities as portrayed in
the different scenes.
A star performer of the.
Goderich Little Theatre,
and well-known to
residents of Huron
County, Virginia Lodge
appears as Agnes. Her
wide experience in the
dramatic field enables
her to give an excellent
and sensitive portrayal of
her role.
Warren Robinson, who
has written, produced
and directed many
successful award winning
plays for Goderich
District Collegiate
Institute, appears as
Michael her husband.
The Goderich Little
Theatre, in operation for
over 25 years, holds a
reputation for produc-
tions of high calibre and
dramatic excellence.
Their appearance at
Blyth makes •a splendid
addition to the ongoing
winter programme. Do

evening of live the.atre.

In the prayer for the
children, he thanked God
for their ability to have

Owing to stormy
weather, the January
UCW meeting was
cancelled, so Mrs. Muriel
Grigg presided for the
first meeting of 1979 on
February 13. The leader
talked about New
Beginnings, the church
centennial year andthe
history of •churches in
Goderich Township. Mrs.
Muriel Grigg led in
prayer and meditation.
"Waiting for God" was
read by Dorothy Whitely.
Mrs. Charlotte Norman
and Mrs. Verna Lobb
played a piano duet. A
modern missionary was
read by Mrs. Isobel
Harris and "I am a
Percent" by, the leader:
An interesting report of
the Huron -Perth
Presbyterial was given
by Mrs. Phyllis Cox. The
roll call was answered by
payment of fees.
The president Mrs.
Isobal Sturdy conducted
the business with
secretary Mrs. Verna
Lobb reading the minutes
and correspondence.

will hold its -annual public
speaking contest between
area schools on February
