curling to describe the

ponent. The defeated
team is said to be
"stoned". The Foresters
certainly defined this
term for the GDCI
Teachers in the four-
teenth week of Industrial
Curling as they handed
the educators a 13-2 lesson
in curling. The victory

creased their league lead
in men's bowling taking
five points from third
place BDs.
Steve Allen rolled a 309
single and. 749 triple to
boost the metal total to 94
points on the season, Don
Johnston led the BDs with
a 278 single and 686 triple..
They.have 79 points.
The Recalls remained
in second spot but slipped
slightly losing four points
to French.
Bob Mills'" 331 single
and- 704 triple led French
to four points while
Charlie Williams had 'a
266 single and 722 triple
for the Recalls.
The Recalls have 89
points for the year and
French 75. •
The Tail Ends moved
up into fourth position
taking five points from
Augies Doggies to,.. im-

kept the Forester hope
for an undefeated season
alive. Forester skip Cam

Jim Bolan made a

upset the high -flying
Huron Health Unit but
fell just short as his
Champion Office team
came out with the short
end of a 9-5 score. Larry
Hawkins and Joe Oatman
curled very well in the
early ends'butthe second
place Health squadron
came on strong in the
final minutes to seal
another triumph. Laurie
Ginn and Don Hullah
were the big shooters for
the powerful victors.
Eleanor Erskine's
confident leadership in
the role of Vice -skip in-
spired her Victoria and
Grey teammates to an
important win over the
A.M.&G. Hospital No. 2
unit 7-6. This exciting
contest .also saw an ex-
cellent debut of V&G
rookie John Wink while
Rob Standen was very
impressive as a
replacement skip for the
unlucky hospital
workers. Delicate draws
by Judith Anne Murray
were overcome by solid
takeouts by Pete Crew
only to be replaced by
perfect freezes by
Stadden which went
flying with Bruce
Erskine's exciting double
takeouts. This kind, of

CHHL begins
playoffs .
The CHHL wrapped 'up
season play last week
with two league games.
Sffto Salt dumped the
Oldtimers 9-3 and Burger
Bar claimed third place
with an 11-6 victory over
Holmesville.
In the final league
standings Sunset finished
with 32 points,; Sifto, 22;

Burger Bar, 16;
Holmesville, 15 and
Oldtimers 5.
In the playoffs, Sunset
• will battle fourth place
Holmesville on Wed-
nesday and Sunday, Sifto
and Burger Bar begin
