Closed at 4 p.m. Saitford irl Wanda Linner of Saltford and a friend, Murray Keith of Lucknow, who are third year students attending Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, recently competed in a 20 hour dance-a-thon to raise money for the handicapped. Those participating in this dance-a-thon worked m couples raising the money and dancing. Congratulations are in order for Wanda and Murray who raised $340 .and were one of the few couples' who completed the 20 hours. Because this was the=s.most money raised by a couple Who completed the dance, they each received a prize of a ten -speed bicycle which they agreed was well worth the effort they made, and they were very happy. 4-H NEWS Tiger Dunlop Group No..1 held their second meeting for this project in Colborne Township Hall, Monday, February 19 at 7 p.m. The meeting opened with the 9-H Pledge and Alice Nivins read the minutes of last meeting. Everyone answered the roll call by showing their best colors and the colors to stay away from. The. name of the Club was chosen and stands as "Buttons and Beaus". The leaders, Mrs. Ann Feagan and Nancy Brindley, showed the members a few different kinds of hats and the leaders went over what to have in their sewing boxes and how to take care of hats and many other, tips about hats. The meeting was closed by Glen Feagan reading the 4-H"Creed. CHURCH NEWS The Youth Group of Benmiller United Church anced 20 hours are interested in a special venture.
