and that the snowplow
truck motor had been
repaired and operating
again.
It was suggested by
council members that a
bulletin board or an
advance work sheet be
posted at the Public
Works Garage so the
workmen know what to
do when the road
superintendent is not
present. The use of a
diary was also suggested.
Both ideas were ap-
proved by council.
The discussion off
snowplowing and opening
township roads was given
considerable time.
The clerk presented the
Ministry of Tran-
sportation and Com-
munications 1979 Subsidy
Allocation being $32,900
for •construction and
$59,000 for maintenance
with a total of '$86,900 and
he was instructed to have
the road superintendent
have a copy of the 1979
construction and
maintenance prepared
for next council meeting.
Councillor Kernighan
informed council that he
had walked the . area
where Mrs. Mazzolini had
proposed building a
driveway to the Maitland
Concession and said that
it would not be practical.
By-law 3, 1979 being a
by-law allowing Colborne
Township to borrow up to
$150,000 as required was
approved.
Council agreed that
Colborne Township
Council must have
control of development at
the • Goderich Airport
under Section 35 of the
Ontario Planning Act. It
was left with the clerk to
arrange a meeting with
the Goderich clerk and
Gary Davidson - re:

Secondary Plan .and a
'Colborne Township
Holding By-law.
The clerk was in-
structed to contact area
carpenters and obtain
prices or estimates
regarding the panelling
of the township hall en-
trance.
Reeve Bogie informed
council of a seminar at
the Assessment Office,
March 28 under the
Ministry of Tourism.
As there was only one
property -owner from the
village of Saltford in
favour of sidewalks being
constructed along Huron
