As a Co-operative, United Co-operatives of Ontario adheres to Co-op principles of
the International Co-operative Alliance
1. Membership is voluntary and open to anyone.
2. One member, one vote, regardless of shares.
3. Investments in co-operatives, accrue a resonable rate of
return.
4. Surplus, or savings, arising out of operations belong to the
members and are distributed equitably.
5. Co-operatives provide for education of members, officers,
employees and the general public.
6. Co-operatives should co-operate in every practical way
with other co-operatives.
It is this sixth principle that unites UC.O. and the 675 members
who own Lucknow District Co-operative. For more than 30 years, 14.0.
has been supplying the members at Lucknow with fertilizer, petroleum,
hardware, farm suppfies, •chemicals, feed and soybean meal for feeds.
We take this opportunity to thank Lucknow District Co-operative for their support.
We know that through the dedicated efforts of Lucknow members, success will be
with them as they enter a new era.
