When Goderich
Township Council met on
November 6 in regular
session, C. Perdue was
present to request better
lighting at the in-
tersection of Highway 8
and the county road at
Holmesville. Council
agreed to this request
but, to date, hate not
been able to obtain co-
operation ' from the
province and the county
on this matter.
' Ed Deeves was also
present at the meeting
and further , requested
that yield or step signs be
erected at the in-
tersection of the
Telephone Road and the
14th,Concession. -.
By-law number 21, a
by-law to authorize the
borrpivbig of up to $50,000
for current expenditures,
was given three readings
- and passed by council.
Len Thompson was
present at the meeting to
obtain information from
council about a severance
on lot 7-H.R. No motions
were recorded regarding
this.
Land severances were
requested by J. Hind -
marsh and Elmer Potter
and council moved that
' these applications be
dealt with as per
questionnaire.
L. Van Den Heuvel was
present at the council
meeting to discuss
building permits. No
motions were recorded
by council regarding this.
Building permits were
issued to uncoast
Estates for machinery
storage.; R. Vodden for a
• barn ,addition'; D.
Schloendorf for a house;
.. Blue' Water 'Golf for a
house; M. Van Den Berg
for a Silo; John Talbot -for
a storage bin; William
Smith for a drive shed
addition; William
Dykstra for a covered
feed manger; and Frank
Johnston to demolish a
garage and to build a
garage.
A request for a building
permit from Ken Weber'
for •machinery storage
will be issued when ap-
proved by the Building
Inspector; a request for
same from M.H.Worsfold
for a porch and another
request for same form K..
Van Den Heuvel for a
barn will- also be held
until a certificate of
compliance is obtained.
Tile drain loans were
requested by T.
Westerhout, R. Norman,
and K. Van Den Heuvel.
These applications were
approved by council.
By-law number 20
being a by-law to
establish a tile drain
debenture on two owners,
was given three readings
and passed.
Tax cancellations were
authorized by council for
Earl Williams, Chas.
Brindley, William J.
Smith, J. Reder, John
Sturdy, Stan Freeman, K.
Gyapjas and James
Collins.
The clerk was in-
structed by council to
reply to Lerner and
Lerner regarding lot 31,
concession 3, to, the effect
that it is tree covered and
the county tree by-law
apply.
Council ordered the
present accounts paid
and adjourned until
November 20 at 8 p.m.
